More successful than anyone else up to date, we see a glimpse of it through Luffy, who is destined to liberate the world and naturally make everyone around himself into his allies (according to Mihawk). People want to be him (e.g. Kaido) and there are beings up to this day waiting for his arrival (Zunisha, Emet, etc.). He gathered so many powerful allies that we had the 20 kings who formed the WG teaming up in a war of global scale, that rose the sea level by 200 meters.
Even Roger himself admitted how he isn't the one Joyboy was waiting for. It was basically Joyboy who started the era of piracy through Roger.

And Joyboy obviously smashes them all. His organization must be stronger too, there is no way he went to battle Imu and his goons on his own. We already met one of his lads. And yes he had strong friends, that's the point of being Joyboy and recruiting strong allies.
