Kuzan allying with BB to destroy piracy from the inside, started with the big mom pirates. the blue pheasant has all of the numb skulls fooled, especially BB.

It looks like Kuzan is being buds with teach but the betrayal/reveal chapter will leave the BBP all frozen

I think he wants to learn the truth of the world for himself and probably believes finding one piece will give him the answer he seeks. He probably went with BB pirates because they were an up and coming yonko crew and knew that they would appreciate his strength added to their forces even if they don’t totally trust him (which is natural), the other more established emperors probably would never even allow a former admiral among their ranks, the BB pirates are more inclined to take this kind of risk. Also him telling Smoker that he is still himself reassures me that he clearly isn’t evil, this is just the best route he felt would lead him to what he seeks. He probably wouldn’t do anything too crazy like outright murder even if the other members might, probably even talks them out of going overboard in their endeavors.

Infiltration and working for Sword will, I think, be the safest option. Basically just what he said to Smoker. Needed some sort of independance to try and take on certain tasks, taking down Blackbeard being the one he’s opted for. Plus some increasing disillusioned feelings about the Marines.

Most interesting? Genuinely thinks Blackbeard can change the world for the better. A Kuzan at genuine rock bottom after his defeat and in despair over the state of the world buying into Blackbeard’s plan to tear it all down would be a interesting place to take the character. Doesn’t really fit with him warning Akainu about Doffy, though, so very unlikelu.
