Of course, a much more stylish option compared to using his arm stump. Shanks can do that instead tho, using his arm stump or headbutt to create the same effect. As long as the blue beam (which cause damage) comes from Shanks himself instead of his sword, it means Shanks can fight independent from being a swordsman.

Weapon + Power User imo since every other major member of the Rox Pirates we’ve seen fight use a weapon and a devil fruit power.

Shiki - 2 Graded Swords + Float Fruit
Big Mom - Sword + Soul Fruit
Kaido - Club + Dragon Fruit
Whitebeard - Naginata + Tremor Fruit

same as buggy. attract strong/powerful ppl and have them fight your battles for you

proof: 1) collecting meme, WB, laido, shiki etc as a proto-crossguild of sorts 2) losing to burp and that fraud roger of all people - despite having all these ppl on his crew
