Speculations What made Orochi betray Oden?

We’ve long know that Orochi sought to usurp Oden as shogun, and eventually ordered his execution, but the last page of the new chapter shows us that the former started as Yasuie’s servant. He appears to be far more bumbling and timid than we know him to be in the present, and at least at first glance it seems like he wants to get on Oden’s good side. So, before Oda proves us all wrong, what do you think happens that leads to Orochi becoming a megalomaniac hellbent on taking his master’s charge down?

Personally, I’m of the belief that it’s too obvious for him to be faking the fool, that his demeanor in the past is a farce and he’s scheming even then. Maybe this is really what he was like, but in the course of being around Oden - who seems to have as many detractors as he does supporters from his outrageous actions - he witnesses great feats that come at a steep cost for others, and it disgusts him to the point that he loses his mind and wants to remove him from power.

Not only betray oden but fked his daughter and then killed yasu

Oden shouldn't have called him a creep. Oden got to cocky.
Like we've told you countless times: He didn't have any sexual relationship with Hiyori.
He was so nervous to finally meet Kamourasaki aka Hiyori, because of that very fact.
Not only that, but the correct translation for Hiyori's "job" isn't even that of a classical prostitute. Correctly translated she is an "oiran", a female entertainer (singing, acting etc.) for rich people in ancient Japan who could (!) sleep with her customers if she chose to, but also had every right to refuse even noble customers.

Just because you have a crush on her doesn’t mean you can change the story
Me and Lanji told you exactly what Oda wrote in his manga.

Orochi never had any contact with her, was looking forward to finally meet her and actually even stated that this was the day he would "finally make her mine".

If you want to write your own fanfiction because of some weird reasons ok. The rest of us knows how to read a story in a calm and rational way.

This is definitely what I think, at least the part where he isn’t putting on an act. With what we’re learning about SAD and SMILE, it’s entirely possible that the natural DFs affect the users’ personalities in a way we haven’t fully seen yet.
Could be the case, but I think Oda is going the "natural born scumbag" way with Orochi.
Oden has the same traits Luffy has (rebel, big heart, CoC, voice of all things etc.) so I think he can judge people really well, just like Luffy can. Oden treated strangers like Kinemon or Denjiro nicely from the beginning, with Orochi he immediately senses that something is wrong and calls him creepy.

It’d be very interesting if Orochi was of noble blood, be it as Sukiyaki’s bastard son or the descendant of a fallen noble clan as it’d give his motivation for ursuping the throne more substance as opposed to him simply just desiring it for the sake of it. With that in mind, it’s very interesting that Orochi’s chose Yasuie’s house as the starting point for his conquest for the throne. So Orochi’s motivations might be tied to Yasuie’s house, in other words the Shimotsuki in some shape or form.
