Current Events What plot holes Oda should explain before he finishes the Wano arc?

#61
On Zou, Kinemon mentioned that Kaido killed Oden because he was attempting to pry information out of them. This could be a plothole. It definitely should have been mentioned in the Oden flashback. I need this plot line resolved in a satisfactory way, it makes no sense for Kinemon to know that Kaido is trying to pry information out of them since he didn't try to in the Oden flashback and straight after the execution, Kinemon & co travelled 20 years into the future and haven't seen Kaido since. Very weird.

Kaido wanting information from them is legit, but as you said, how does kinnemon know this?

He shouldnt be able to know it, so maybe he was just guessing or oda fucked this up.

Because he already knows about Kaido and his gang, but he doesent know about Wano and its forces. For what he knows, the Wano from 20 years ago and all its military might could have just allied with Kaido, so he has all those strong samurai (who no one knows how strong and how many there are) working for him, instead of what actually happened and most of them getting killed and imprisoned. Thats the danger of a closed of country, you have no clue what youre dealing with
CP-0 is there dude...
Not quoting the rest of your back and forth, but i dont think anyone is expecting cp0 to be able to invade onigashima like its nothing lol. So even if they WOULD be roaming and gathering intel on the main-island of wano, they most likely wouldnt conclude anything about their military might, because the wano samurai that might have just allied with kaido could all be on onigashima, or the factories, or whatever.,

cp0 being there is pretty irrelevant for the marines not knowing about the military power wano holds.

Not to mention that we literally cut away from their meeting

It's their job to know their enemies... I feel like you guys are just pulling the wool over your eyes.

Their job in wano seemingly was negotiationg with orochi.

Not ruling out the possibility that they are still around, but gathering info on wanos main island wouldnt be enough, and i dont expect them to be able to just walk into onigashima lol.

So at best they now can get to onigashima because the alliance is raiding it anyway. But gathering intel now would be pretty pointless because kaido will go down this arc.

I'm talking prior... they probably left Wano by now.

I've re-read One Piece multiple times and there's only one thing that could fall under my definition of Plothole.

It was about Madam Shyarly's Scrying.

1) When she's asked when Luffy will destroy FI she says "I don't know, I can only see WHAT happens. I don't know if it'll be tomorrow or a year from now".

2) When Roger asks baby Shyarly about Poseidon's birth she says "In 10 years".

So that leaves me with:

A) The translation on the Fishman Island prophecy is wrong. Her ability can see what and when an event occurs. So she's not establishing a universal rule on all of her prophecies. She's just referring to that specific prophecy, that she only knows what happens regardless of time frame.

B) When she was young her ability could discern both content and time of prophesied event. And as she got older the ability weakens losing that added perk. (But this still needs to be mentioned in the story if it's the case so for now it's a possibility)

C) Shyarly is lying about not knowing the time of Luffy's destruction of FI (Very very very very unlikely)

D) It's a Plot Hole.

For now I won't legitimately say it's a plot hole until I can find the raw of said scenes and double check with a qualified translator whether the wording in the Fishman's Island scene was specific to the timing of Luffy's prophecy, or a general rule related to her Scrying ability.
Before 1045 comes, quick do the 1044 review :kuzanshut:
