Frankly speaking, I don't get this Disney obsession with LA for every story they had, those timeless classics are classics for a reason.
Why redo something that only ends up enraging the fans?

I've finished the Residence btw.
Quite solid, I'd give it a 7/10.
If you liked Glass Onion (Knives out 2), Only Murders in the Building and Afterparty, if you like quirky detectives and a cast of co-workers who give off a "we're kinda acquired family" vibe, you'd probably like this one too.
I would place it higher, but it was dragged out a bit too much (could've easily wrapped in 5-6 episodes instead of 8), and the MC detective sometimes annoyed me as much as she did her "colleagues", but the cuts are great, the actors are doing a good job, the mystery around the murder is engaging even if you guess the murderer early on, there are still questions you can't help but ponder.
So it was enjoyable couple of evenings for me.
