What was the last movie you watched?

Essentially about accepting the life path one is on if it makes you fulfilled even if there are other things you might desire and have given up in the past in order to pursue what you want the most, and that feeling melancholic and nostalgic about the what ifs of your life can be soothing but that you should never regret past decisions.
At least thats what I got from it.

The Last Voyage of the Demeter - 4/10

Would've been way higher if not for the absolute stupidity that was the Toby-gets-bitten scene. My God, I've seen my fair share of horror movies stupidty, but this takes the cake by far.
Olgaren, who was a meat puppet at that point for all intents and purposes, almost managed to open the lock on the door from the inside BECAUSE HE USED HIS RIGHT HAND TO DO IT.
But here comes the Cambridge doctor who slams into the door and uses his fucking left hand to try and open it ffs
And to make it even worse, the fucking captain is there, who has made God knows how many voyages with this ship yet can't figure out that there's a sizeable hole in his cabin door through which he might put his right arm through and open the door, thus saving Toby

There's PIS, But this is straight up piss

Besides all that, Anna is probably the second most annoying character in the whole movie, aside from Cambridge PhD himself. Literally her first time on a boat, in a situation like this, yet she's more competent than ragged, seasoned seamen. You don't get Ripley just by casting a female character in your movie, you actually need to write her well.

And, for some reason, in the last third of the movie, the writers decide "hey, let's use mr PhD to make a "I have a dream" knock off speech, because reasons. Bruh, they're fighting a literal demon and you use that as a backdrop for a watered down political speech. It's 2023, those that don't already get that racism=bad will not be swayed by a movie monologue, especially in a fucking Dracula movie

Hell, the whole last third of the movie is a rollercoaster of brain damage

If not for the setting itself and Liam Cunningham(who barely had pressence in the whole movie), the rating would've been even lower

What a waste

Guardians of the Galaxy 3. 10/10

James Gunn finished his trilogy with a bang, this third film is far darker than the previous ones while retaining enough humor, and having many heartfelt moments. The relations and interactions between the guardians are great, even more than usual, and the High Evolutionary is such a deliciously despicable villain, thanks to Chukwudi Iwuji's great performance.

And the music once again is awesome.

It might be a long time before another MCU movie is worth watching.

MUUGEN

呪のろいの王

Upon his release he takes on Macha in a private casino game, causes humiliation, and wins. While Macha puts out an order on Jake's life, Jake meets brothers Avi and Zach who protect him and plot to take Macha down.
Release date: September 22, 2005 (USA)
Director: Guy Ritchie

Revolver is Guy Ritchie's most underrated film, a masterpiece ahead of its time. A Psychological Thriller with the central theme being "Ego".

Dark, Beautiful, Mysterious and Intelligent.

Talk To Me - 8/10

A really solid horror flick. Could've been just a tad shorter, but it never dragged.
Some of the twists were easy to figure out, however the delivery was done well which is all you can ask for.
A nice take on the possession genre which was run into the ground with the same old formula movies.
