Controversial Whats a popular series that you couldnt get into

Out of interest, which Doctors did you see? Eccleston, Tenant?
McCoy, Tennant, Smith, and Capaldi.

I couldn't tolerate more than 2 or 5 episodes of each, skipping to the next one thinking maybe a different version or later episodes would be more to my liking. I tuned off Whittaker after just 10 minutes. I tried giving the Baker version a chance ages ago but the picture on the episodes my dad had were just too blurry for my liking. I never gave the Eccleston version a chance though, but even if it is better, I've got too many anime series and films in my backlog to give it a go for the time being.

It doesn't help that I'm not a fan of shows that go on for too long, One Piece having been the sole exception.

I tried to get into Breaking Bad but I really couldn't, what's funny is that I got into its prequel Better Call Saul.

Other series I couldn't get into the past are Adventure Time and Regular Show, although I'm giving Adventure Time another chance.

Well what would likely be my most controversial take for a popular series I could never get into is Avatar: The Last Airbender.

I did fully watch this series but I never came to like it the same way that nearly everybody else I have come across likes it.

People kept harping on about how this was like the greatest kids TV series ever made. I thought I was in for a great time. I watched it and I found it to be average. There is some good writing but it's overshadowed by a lot of consistent nonsense. The only characters I came to truly enjoy were Zuko, Azula and Iroh even if the last one acted nowhere near as smart as the writing wanted me to believe.

In short, I found it to be an alright but greatly over hyped series. I wouldn't bother watching it again.
When I was younger I couldn't get into Avatar, but this year I decided to give it another chance.

I finally watched the whole thing and ended up really enjoying it, I still don't think it is the greatest cartoon ever but it was still fun to watch, the three characters you mentioned are also my top favorite characters lol.

Fair. Lol. I only watched and enjoyed the Eccleston and Tenant eras on the regular. I got bored of the Matt Smith era, wasn't that enamored with the Capaldi era and I absolutely detested everything I saw from the Whittaker and Gatwa eras.

The Eccleston era was short and sweet with only a single series (13 episodes), so that is the one I remember most fondly. I think Eccleston was arguably the best actor of the new era along with Tenant. Eccleston absolutely killed it in the Last Dalek episode, my favourite one.
But aye, Doctor Who isn't a series I would recommend to anybody now. It gets too long and convoluted to hold a coherent story after such a lengthy runtime. Especially with the new show runners completely retconning decades established canon just for a new nonsensical plot point that goes absolutely nowhere.
It doesn't help that I'm not a fan of shows that go on for too long, One Piece having been the sole exception.
Doctor Who is even worse than show that goes on for too long. It is a show that will never end. Not until the BBC itself dies, which isn't going to happen anytime soon since it's government funded. :pepecafe:

Supernatural - because it has wayyy too many seasons.

House of dragons - I might start watching it sometime in the future.

Stranger things - well, I'm not a fan of science fiction.

Cobra Kai - watched the first two seasons but the karate has become so monotonous.

I actually used to watch Breaking Bad but I stopped a bit after they finally killed Gus Fring. It just felt like the right time to end things.
Have you ever seen Ozymandias, Granite State and Felina ?

These three last episodes are some of the best in the entire series. The first half of the fifth season can look weaker than season 4, but things get really exciting the moment Hank finally realizes that Walt is Heisenberg

Dexter is probably my fav TV show alongside the shield (2002) and house of cards.
Lowkey forgot about the shield, I enjoyed the first few seasons of house of cards but never got around to finishing it

I haven't and I don't doubt they're exciting episodes, but I stopped soon after the point I mentioned, not because the show was getting bad, it just felt like a satisfying endpoint for me personally. Maybe one day I'll finish the rest of the series, but for now its not a top priority in my backlog which is already overloaded.

Supernatural. I watched one season and then dropped it. I kinda liked it, but it got too depressing for me after a few episodes.

Also The Walking Dead and Squid Game.
