It definitely had backing but the majority of the good foreshadowing got overshadowed with some of the stupid evidence and takes such as:
“Zoro sat on a tombstone”
“Zoro ate from a dragon ramen bowl”
“Luffy vs Big Mom and Zoro vs Kaido”
“Kaido will get up after Luffy fails to beat him then Zoro will kill him.”

Explain to me how Kaido, who does not have regen or immortality, could survive getting his throat slit?
Its not me "thinking" that if Zoros attack landed on his throat Kaido would die, it is what would factually happen.
I am not arguing Zoro could one shot Kaido or anything, just that if the EXACT same situation as canon happened and Zoro just happened to land his attack a couple inches higher he WOULD kill Kaido, thus debunking the idea Zoro COULDN'T kill him whatsoever.
Thats all.

Eh I think this was just how Oda wanted to establish Jinbes strength in the crew, he’s not going to get any power ups instead he’ll just get access to water for his next fight like on a seashore.

The goal is not to hold his own for a long time against Kaido. That's the worst plan one can have.

The goal is to beat Kaido. If you plan to dance with Kaido for hours, you are dead meat.
At no point was Kaido able to show anything that would prevent Zoro from besting him.
Also, if aCoC allowed Luffy to hold his own vs Kaido, guess what aCoC allowed Zoro to do...

i can totally understand how people get to "crocodile is secretly a woman" but never understood the luffys mom leap. thats just nonsense
zoro kills a guy on panel in the beginning of wano lol. 斬り is killing someone with a sword. zoro's crime as listed in the manga is killing the magistrate.
this guy, and a lot of other people Zoro cuts in the manga, are dead. There's only one scene where Nami tells him not to kill people specifically and he agrees and uses the back of his swords.
