Questions & Mysteries Whats Kaido's role if he survived?

#21
If Kaido survives...

At BEST he could become a deterrent to the marines again from one island. That's about the best he has to offer.

The story itself has changed from one island scale, though. It, now, involves the entire world. Kaido and Big Mom were small-time people.

It's very easily done and justified if it's to demonstrate Imu's power.

And who's to say Kaidou can't be hypetooled under mitigating circumstances like injuries?
Why not use the designated hypetool character (Sanji) then?
What's the point of bringing back Kaido to get clapped by Imu?
And having him already be injured would just cheapen it anyway.
It doesn't make sense to me.
You should reflect on your lack of creativity.
If you're gonna suck my cock like this, I'd like to at least get some good foreplay in first.

IF BB is meant to be "black/dark Nika", then I can see Kaido returning as a reluctant ally to the SHs ("You are Joyboy, I admit it now. You've done what I couldn't. Now, let's topple the world together!"), and be thoroughly defeated by BB at his full power (3 DFs + whatever other fuckery he's hiding), but still be around EOS to help Yamato and Wanoers escape the flood, thus soft redeeming himself.

Why is Sanji relevant to a discussion about Kaidou?

Are you really this dumb or do you not understand the implications of Imu dismantling Kaidou?

It's still fucking Kaidou, and him losing because or in part of injuries doesn't inherently help or hurt his image.

Everything is in execution.

Yeah, because it doesn't align with any of the dumbass agendas you're invested in.

Let us be honest, I doubt anyone's ever touched your dick.

Maybe but I don't really see it. I think BB will get someone like Sengoku as a hypetool maybe

I mean from an author's perspective...Kaido has been portrayed as way, way stronger than Sanji so far. If he comes back at the same-ish level as before and Imu murks him, that's way more impressive, no?

It's like using Thor as a hypetool vs using Galactus as a hypetool, like beating the former means you're really strong but beating the latter means you're on a threat scale beyond comprehension.

As for mitigating injuries, Oda does use them for characters he wants to lose but still retain their aura of power - see WB, Garp etc.

Sanji at that time will likely be a top tier though

Sure, guess it depends on how strong he is. I could see a situation that leads to him trying to save Vivi or Nami from Imu only to get defeated, so that's a possibility.

I honestly don't think Kaido'll be back though, so it's likely not him....he got what he wanted, he's likely done IMO. But then again this is Oda so....

We don’t need him, we can have name drops and some past fights, but no him, big mom’s story hasn’t been explored, Kaido we know pretty much everything about him. Someone like king or another member of the beast pirates could be great to bring back, but not Kaido

Chances are Big Mom and Kaido will end up being our "Tour Guides to the Underworld".

Big Mom and Kaido both fell into a volcano. Volcanoes are usually connected to the molten cores of their planets. But, we already know there's something else going on with the One Piece World and it's "Underworld". The Chapter 1138 Mural seems to indicate that there was some sort of "Underground Mining Operation" going on, back during the First World. This is probably also connected to the holes in the ocean that the Ancient Weapon Uranos is creating. I think eventually we're going to visit that place and see what got left behind down there. Because chances are there's something down there that's just waiting for it's chance to return to the surface.

One way or another, I think we're going to eventually end up venturing into this "Underworld". Luffy's either going to sail straight into one of these holes in the ocean. Or Laugh Tale has some sort of express elevator to "Hades". And if and when that happens, it would kind of be useful to have a couple of characters who we already know, and have spent the last few months wandering around trying to find a way out of this place, to help us explain what's going on down here.

We've seen from Elbaph's "Underworld Layer" as well as Brook and V Nusjuro's powers, that Oda is setting up the Underworld as most likely being a cold, frozen place. Because chances are, there's something frozen in the Underworld, waiting to get thawed out. This could be the "True Sun" or "Forbidden Sun", like the original form of the Mother Flame. Or it could be a group of people, like the Dragons, who may have been imprisoned underground for the last few millennia. Or maybe both. More on that over here:
https://worstgen.alwaysdata.net/for...message-will-be-the-dragons-are-coming.55673/

Either Big Mom and Kaido will be helping the Strawhats navigate and explain this Underground world. Or, alternately, Big Mom and Kaido will end up "waking up" whatever's down there. Thus either setting off a timer for what would basically be a bomb, or leading a army to the surface to conquer the surface world. Whatever Big Mom and Kaido are doing down there COULD kick off the true final threat in the manga.

Either way, I do believe we'll end up seeing these two again. They may be enemies or they may be allies. But, either way, we're probably going to see what's "under the sea" soon enough.

In due time, he could have have a Kuzan like arc and join BB.

Oda wouldn't have gone for that, but still.
I don't think Kaido joining anyone is realistic scenario but ending up as hypetool, I meant getting killed by someone.
He could be weakened after defeat, like Moriah was and ended up Jinbe's hypetool.
Kaido could be sacrificed to Mihawk, Dragon, Imu or Garling.
That's why it is better to stay dead and preserve the reputation of being unbeatable in 1vs1.
I don't think he would have any plotline if he was alive other than ending up as hypetool for one of those 4.

Yeah yeah, I agree: Oda doesn't have any other uses for him, clearly.

Ideally, I can see him joining BB because: It would mirror him joining Rocks in his youth; I would Imagine him having kind of a psychological crysis and then, since he now would be on his own (his crew is dead/at ID), I could see him joining BB because of his drive to fight.

But that just in theory, Oda wouldn't go for that. Probably he would be used to hype one of the big players, be It Imu, Akainu, Dragon, Garling, ecc...

Let's assume it happens. What does that mean for him when BBPs and SHs fight? :quest:
