Speculations What's the deal with Lodestar?

Why Roger's pirates were the only one to ever go there? Not even World Governament put their foot their if we take Roger's words as absolute truth. Maybe no one ever did even during void century or before? Is just an island like every other else with log poses pointing there not a mysterious one like Laugh Tale where we need Red Poneglyphs to reach it.

Since we know so much more from Laugh Tale than from Lodestar for now I'm thinking this island is even more mysterious... Are the seas and/or climate nearby too crazy that no one dares to go there?

Some possible explanations:

1. WG has access to Lodestar, but they kept it, remained confidential... Because information that may be learned by reaching it are forbidden/classified...
2. It's an island that can only be reached with the guidance of sea kings who can communicate through the Voice of All Things...

But the log pose points to there...

And we saw that after that Roger still didn't understood his Voice of All Things so it is clearly something he did't dominated/mastered or even acknowledged.

Well you have to remember that the concept of becoming “the Pirate King” and going to the final island didn’t really exist until after Roger

Joyboy left his treasure/story there but no one knew about that till later. It actually wasn’t even confirmed if people knew about Joyboy being tied to the Final Island till the broadcast

So prior to Roger himself no one really had a reason to go to Lodestar even if they knew it existed. Now I’d imagine the harsh climate/sea kings/whatever else is there probably doesn’t help

The only ones who might’ve known about it are the Gorosei/Imu but they already did their jobs by outlawing research of the Poneglyphs. They don’t have a reason to seek it out themselves

Do we know there is a treasure there that was left by JoyBoy? You know One Piece is a made up term by newspaper/public in general. Roger just took it in his own advantage to create the Great Pirate Era and pass his will forward (to Ace).

I think the final part of the new world (where Lodestar is located) is the most dangerous piece of ocean in the entire world. Even for top tier is hard to reach there

I think that Lodestar is just hard to reach. People certainly tried in the past, but maybe no one came back to tell the story and most considered it not worthy the risk. Maybe only the finest navigators in the world can do it (perhaps we'll finally see a Nami navigation feat after a long time). As @thedarkdragon11 said, even the VoAT might be necessary.

Maybe the sea kings didn't talk close to Roger the first time he went to Fishman Island? Luffy only noticed the sea kings talking due to the Noah's incident.

I doubt that no one tried (or at least considered trying) during 800 years. Noland, for example, would be someone that could've tried. Louis Arnote went as far as Elbaf, so he could've come close to getting to Lodestar too.

Is Eternal Pose a thing or just movie related? And I think they implied regular pose because after that the pose pointed nowhere.

He explored the New World and went at least as far as Dressrosa/Green Bit, as he's a hero among the Tontatta. Maybe he wasn't ready in his first trips, and the penultimate (the one that he accidentally went to Jaya) was the one that he intended to explore the entirety of the Grand Line... but after he found the "City of Gold", he deviated from his initial goal.

He read Oden's adventure's log. LOL. But even before that he was using it with Zunesha and even ordering it.

Iirc it's stated during the broadcast that Joyboy left the answers/the key to saving the world at the final island which is why getting there is such a big deal for every faction now. Remember Koby saying he'll have to interfere with Luffy's dream? That's because SWORD/the Marines will likely try to reach the Final Island first

No I know. The One Piece is now Joyboy's treasure and Roger's treasure put together (most likely)

When Roger got there he found something that Joyboy left there but claimed he was too early. He also stated that he left his own treasure there as well (theorized to be whatever the egg on his ship was) and those 2 things together form the One Piece

That's why I said the harsh conditions probably also played a role in it. A lot of explorers die before even reaching the Grand Line or they have a hard time making it through the New World

I'd imagine the path to Lodestar is fairly perilous

How about sinking the island? Only know they have Mother Flame but couldn't they pursue the DF or the user of the Quake no Mi?

I mean they can't just magically find every fruit. The only fruit we know with those capabilities is the quake and it's 1 fruit that could potentially be on any one of the limitless islands in the world

Not to mention that there's really no reason to destroy Lodestar anyway. It's completely useless if someone cant gather all 4 Road Poneglyphs and read them which is almost impossible. Roger was only able to do it because he got absurdly lucky and ran into Oden

If Luffy didn't stumble upon Robin in Alabasta his journey would be over before it even began

It is also hinted by Big Mom that One Piece is not actually one piece but several pieces. Lol. Like a part is at Laugh Tale, a part may be at Wano etc.

At that point, Laugh tale's location is beyond that stretch of ocean with the RPs, presumably because the island is not natural if I had to guess.

I was thinking about it, and maybe Lodestar (or whatever it was called back then) was much more accessible before the Void Century. We know for sure that there was at least one massive flooding in the past, as per chapter #1115:

So, Lodestar could've been the "door" to the Ancient Kingdom and Laugh Tale was the center of its massive territory (that would explain why Roger noticed that there was something else after Lodestar, there are probably "pieces" of the Ancient Kingdom there). People probably could travel by land to Lodestar back in the Void Century (in the middle of it the flood could've started, then Joy Boy, in the later years of the century, was the pioneer explorer at the time... but this isn't remembered, as the Void Century was erased from history), that's why the recorded history just consider the last 800 years (and thus the Roger Pirates as the first group to go there), because before that it simply wasn't an uncharted and difficult place to go.

Actually we have the history before Void Century too. I guess it was discussed at Robin flashback in Ohara... I'm not sure because I skipped all flashbacks until I got updated with anime weekly when Punk Hazard began
