I know the story has spent a lot of time emphasizing haki recently but I have to agree
Having better haki doesn’t guarantee a victor. Luffy beat Katakuri with worse armament haki and beat the Kuja sisters pre timeskip while not having haki at all
I think Mihawk is just straight up a better fighter than Shanks
Probably superior raw stats (strength, speed, etc) while also being better at wielding a sword
Both of those things combined make him stronger

No same way big mom is a physical monster, has internal armament, conquerors infusion, and sword attacks doesn’t make her a good swordsman as we’ve seen. Her not even being considered a swordsman
- We don’t actually know how xebec is doing what he’s doing with his swordsmanship. We do know it looks different from divine departure but that isn’t the point
- Nothing in the story even halfway implies mihawk having even comparable haki to shanks let alone better

I love how for years you defended the stupidity that a character who carries a sword, attacks and defends himself mainly and exclusively with a sword, was not a swordsman. And now that they also show us one of these characters using all the possible power of haki along with his swordsmanship, they ALSO do not make him a swordsman xD. I would love to know then what the hell a swordsman is for idiots like you.
Oda has called Shanks a swordsman in multiple official One Piece sources.
I know haki is used for everything but when used with swordsmanship it's part of swordsmanship. It's like footwork. A lot of fighting styles use footwork. When used with boxing it becomes part of boxing skills.

I'm still on the fence whether BM is a swordsman or not. A swordsman is anyone who fighting style centers around swordsmanship or they are at their strongest when using a sword.

Haki is not=swordsmanship but it's a part of it when we talking about highly qualified fighters (scabbards) let alone top tiers.
But yeah Mihawk doesn't need to have better Haki(specifically CoC) to be stronger than Shanks but he also can't have much weaker haki overall ethier because his swordsmahip are confirmed to be stronger than Shanks. He can't make up for it just by physical strength or Yoru alone so stronger CoA(Black Blade) and Top Tier CoC is here as well.

Actually i claimed all this time that Fujitora was a Swordsman.. Now i'm not so sure, only if he has a Sword Style..
A Swordsman is someone who has a Sword Style independent of his Sword Skill.. However Sword Skill are extremely important, that's what made Mihawk the World Strongest Swordsman that he is now..
I agree here.. But what changed now is since Shanks is a Swordsman he needs to have a Sword Style..
