Its been 6 chapters since the last time we see Sanji (chapter 981), so im hoping Oda planned something good for Sanji.

I think its obvious now that the purpose of Oda separating Sanji from the others was just a plot point for Big Mom to get Zeus Back from Nami. It is Odd that none of the strawhats have run into Tobi Roppo or Numbers by now but based on how Odas pacing has been in the recent chapters.From a Realstic standpoint Sanjis probably going to just show up where Luffy and the others are. And there wont be any explanation about where he was most likely. Oda's just trying to bring all the strawhats and the alliance to one area.

Not sure but he isn't joining the best fights in my opinion, he is still too weak to join the yonko clashes

I would extend furthermore that they might not plan to revert to their normal form, up ro the point that they'll destroy themselves using their Sulong form. It's a fight against Kaido, the one with whom they hate for 20 years.
