The number one problem I had with his execution is his connection with vander decken.

I think vanders involvement in this arc distracted way too much from the actual theme and Hody and really watered it down through vanders shitty gags and actual pedophilia.

I feel like Fishman Island would’ve been a fine arc if it was just about the fishman pirates.

Vander Decken's fruit is really good though, despite him being a fucking scumbag him self.
Imagine Big Mom or Kaidou with that fruit.
Their monstrous strength could allow them to chuck mountains at anyone they dislike.
Or Garp with that fruit.

In a SBS Oda said, and since I forgot what exactly he said I'll be recreating it to the best degree:

Didn’t see the rounds:
1. Crocodile - We never even got a backstory for him and we have so much more to learn but his development throughout the story’s been insane and is definitely one of the most layered villains we’ve seen.

2. Buggy if you count him otherwise Crocodile. Man convinced Daz who wanted to be a superhero to literally massacre a country for the sake of a utopia and has built 3 different pirate crews and now has mihawk working towards crocs dream.

3. The most evil is hard to gauge but I’d say it’s Doffy. That man is just evil incarnate. Comparing him with Corazon really shows that it was all nature with Doffy. That he just has a naturally evil nature.

4. Crocodile has one of the best drips and being the hook pirate is great. Doffys a close second and Enel brings up the rear.

5. Baroque Works fights were another level. Each straw hat got a fight that forced them to accept parts of them and think outside the box. Second place would be CP9.

Doffy clears the first four rounds for me, while I also love Caesar and Buggy.

Maybe R5 I would give to Lucci for iconic levels.

Never cared for Enel in particular, while I loved Beast pirates as opponents and ofc best pirate Perospero, so I give it to post-skip due to overwhelming wins.
