Smoothie only comes in to help because Tamago is worried about Pedro deliberately coming for the Poneglyphs and wants the extra protection of a SC.

-look at Smoothie’s dialogue there, nothing to suggest that she has ever tried and failed to protect the RP. She barely seems to give a shit or care about why she’s there. Given that Snack had been demoted for losing recently, if she’d had a failure of that magnitude to Kid you’d expect her to worry about being the next one to lose her title. Or at least show some sign of worry.

-Snack is the only one to show a grudge against the Worst Gen.

I don’t know how widespread Oda is going to make the knowledge of the Road Poneglyphs be. I think it‘s dumb for Robin not to know if it’s relatively common New World knowledge, but this might just be Oda leaving the Strawhats in rhe dark about something so it can be explained to the readers.

Like Nami spending two years studying navigation to prepare specifically for the New World, and not once coming across the need for a different log pose.

Well Bb did confirm that it was underworld knowledge recently. So guys like Kid and Law might have learnt it that way

Or maybe the actually got to lodestar, tho that seems far fetched in kids case

Kid could have the Information through Killer, which might be able to read the PG and is a three eyed Tribe member.

remember it was a big topic for Killer to not laughing and be laughed at. Maybe it’s because of his third eye and he got humilated because of that.

Regardless, Kidd still beats Snack during the timeskip and got what he needed, so he's fine.

What I don't understand is that why did Snack carry the copy of the Poneglyph on his ship in the first place lol?

Man's just setting himself as an obvious bait at that point.
