Not that hard to understand.
1. Oden left the WB pirates. WB was visibly upset at this. He was a friend, but not family.
2. Ace was family and he got captured trying to restore honor for the family.
3. Ace was alive. Oden was not.
4. Kaido was the strongest creature in the world. WB wouldn't beat him.
Whitebeard is still great. The cost was simply not worth it for him which is a wise decision. If Oden were alive and still dancing like an idiot on the streets then sure I would expect WB to do something. There's no point in going to start a war and have so many people die just to dig up Oden's grave and caress a boiled corpse.
Not happy about it,since we found out that Kaido and his goons were traveling outside of the Wano and that the island was left with Yamato(who is against Kaido) and bunch of weaker headliners,WB could easily met him on the sea when Kaido was having his expeditions and send small squad to assist Yamato in liberating Wano.I guess that Oda wanted to show us that yonkous are in deadlock and that they will move against each other that easily.
I understand him not wanting major casualties but the dude went to Marineford for Ace and winded up dying. Oden was like a little brother to him. He should have went to help him out.
Not 1000 chapter but general Wano arc. Former Roger crew yet to make any move. Even after Whitebeard thing, Marco and Izo kept their promise and joined the fight now. It somewhat redeems their crew's lack of action.
Could it be what Shanks talked to Five Elders? SSG to make appearance in Wano? Or Shanks will be directly involved in the fight? Big Mom may get some emergency call and leave the fight half way through.
Whitebeard didn’t even want to go send ace after Blackbeard . Why would he want to go storm another country to fight a 30,000 strong army just to avenge a former member of his crew . These are pirates not little high school boys . I don’t think some of you realize that
Not to mention he also thought the entire kozuki family was dead so there would not even be a royal family to restore anymore. This is not like Fishman Island and Whitebeards birth Island
As said before, Oda wrote a plothole which he can't fill. Whitebeard's actions are so out of character.
Sure, oden dies but what about oden's children? They too were in wano...
With the same logic there was no reason on saving Ace because they will sacrifice more crew members for one life, it doesn't make sense. Also there's no guarantee that they will succeed, as matter of fact they lost and Ace died with Whitbeard.
It's not about logic or price, it's about Whitbeard's character.
