This thread is to talk about one of the very most powerful and legendary characters in all of One Piece, the World Strongest Man, Edward Newgate better known under the name of Whitebeard.



What do you think about Whitebeard as a character and pirate ? About his personality, history, powers and relationships with other characters whenever they are Roger, his own crew, his former allies in the Rocks Pirates, Oden, Luffy, his enemies ?
What are your theories or headcanons about him ? Your favorite moments with him ?

A very good character even for OP standards. Maybe the msot remarkable things were that despite his power, connections, he could get the OP if he wanted to, could have done whatever he wanted yet his only desite was to have a family. Truly heart warming.

Well you could argue that his pride was a big flaw of him, one that caused him to hypocritally insult and mock Shanks despite knowing very well that Shanks was right about Teach and Ace not being ready to take him on, and that caused him to risk his whole crew to get Ace back in a battle against the might of the Marine HQ.
