Character Discussion Who is more interesting Shanks or Mihawk?

Who's more interesting? It's subjective.

I voted for Mihawk 'cause I can relate more to his character as I'm a loner myself that I'd rather concern myself with my own craft/s than anything else.

I mean ... Shanks is one of the most intersting characters in manga history

we saw him a lot but we know shit about him

he is strong
unpredictable
should have great backstory
have a massive impact on the story
always show up for best chapters
is among final story bosses of the story

he is the perfect characters ....


EVERY TIME we get to know anything about Shanks the entire fanbase LOSE IT SHIT

Shanks is more interesting from what we know soo far, by far....but i wouldnt say any of them are boring. Its safe to assume we will have some juicy flashbacks from both characters before the story ends.

Definitely Shanks, since Mihawk is typical silent strong guy. Shanks knows how to have fun and being friendly. That kinda stereotype as well as being Luffy's inspiration just make it more reassuring when sealed with the best ever in-manga depiction of CoC catwalk lol

Definitely Shanks… Mihawk could have been little interesting if he came to wano at some point and proved superior and impacted the samurai of Wano with his swordsmanship, but no he never did.

Well this one is hard..
A lone wolf being this strong is more interesting for me but this has to do with my personality first and second, he is connected with zoro which i am his fan.
Shanks from the other hand is way more interesting if you count the plot of the series.
Conclusion: Both guys are top tiers.
Both are swordsmen.
Their sketch is amazing but shanks maybe have the edge here.
Mihawk has the better sword.
I will vote for Mihawk because i am a zoro fan lol.

Mihawk's story is pretty weird when I think about it.
He is currently at the peak, holding the World Strongest Swordsman title. Yet he acts like he is one retired grandpa, who used to have that title in the past. He lives alone in remote island, only with a bunch of monkeys, living as a farmer etc.

"But it's because he is THAT strong that nobody dares to challenge him anymore."
Except the story doesn't portray him that way. If that was the case, most swordsmen characters, including the ones in Wano, would either pissed his pants or acting like a fan boys with star eyes upon hearing his name. Yet we know that is not the case here.
