The Gorosei wouldn't have been chasing "for the gomu-gomu" for 800 years if Nika had been alive any of those 800 years.
That would only mean something if Nika and Joy Boy were the exact same thing, which they clearly aren't, right now it's looking like Joy Boy was just another user of the Nika fruit.

I do believe Joy Boy was just another user of the Nika fruit.

I also believe Joy Boy being a pain in the ass is also why they were trying to retrieve the fruit so no one could use it against them never again.

Which precisely implies Joy Boy died 800 years ago.

Do we have anything that points towards Joy Boy having living any longer than the ancient century?

Not really, the slaves idolize Nika, not Joy Boy.

The Buccanneers, likewise, idolize Nika, not Joy Boy.

And the World Government 99% of the time talks about and tries to hide information regarding Nika, not Joy Boy.

It's pretty obvious that Nika is the progenitor and who the World Government really fears, Joy Boy is essentially just Luffy from hundreds of years ago.

There's neither proof proving nor disproving Joy Boy being around after the void century, which is why I said "could've been around"

Which adds absolutely nothing to the topic other than provide further evidence that Joyboy's story is solely centered 800 years ago. Hence my reaction.

Just admit you were wrong and move on.
It completely dunks on your previous point of bringing up Zunesha:milaugh:

I'm not wrong, nothing at all states that Joy Boy absolutely couldn't have been around long after the void century.

Your only point of argument is "the Third Reich could have survived to this day hidden inside the moon, as you cannot show me definite prove it hasn't. Hey, I said could have so you can't tell me how stupid my argument is".

Bro, you dunked on nothing, plenty of stuff points towards Joyboy being the last Nika user and having died 800 years ago, precisely why Zunesha was punished for being his companion, precisely why Zunesha hasn't heard the drums in 800 years, precisely why, after his dead, the Gorosei have been chasing the fruit for 800 years, and precisely why the Gorosei say "no one has awakened the fruit in centuries upon centuries", and precisely why Neptune straight out says "Joyboy is a person who lived in the surfaceduring the 100-year void".

And also, precisely why the One Piece is waiting "for Joyboy" to return, and the time hasn't come yet, as "Joyboy", aka Nika, aka Luffy, hasn't arrived yet, because there has not been another Nika yet.

What points towards Joyboy being alive for centuries after the void century, as you claimed? What base do your assumptions have? That slaves refer to the legend of "Nika" instead of the legend of "Joyboy"? Even if you were right about said legend being based on the actions of multiple individuals, wouldn't it make more sense for said individuals to have come before Joyboy instead of later, with all evidence pointing to Joyboy being the last one? Yes, it does.

That's the most random and unrelated comparison you could've possibly made:luffylaugh:

Literally nothing you posted there irrefutably proves that either Joy Boy died 800 years ago or that he couldn't possibly have been around say three or four hundred years ago.

Depends on Oda. If he wants to connect ryuuma to WG stuff, he might go into it and build in a flashback or mentioning of it. Baldy seems to be a good candidate. Him having no visible scars would not speak well for ryuuma though.
If not, he'll just forget it or release the info in an sbs. But only after everyone started to give zero shits about it
