Killer vs Drake or Apoo makes more sense to me
I'm quite heavily expecting all the Worst Gen on Wano to try and fight Kaido now.
That might seem very dumb considering Apoo's literally just said he thinks that's a colossally stupid idea, but I think that's just setup for Apoo to become a Luffy fanboy.
From what we've got from Apoo's story
-introduced as cocky in Saobody, first shown in a fight with Kid
-again, very cocky with Kizaru, thinking he could land a hit in him and escape. That's pretty important characterisation.
-in the New World, at one point at least tried to attack Big Mom, and didn't even get close to seeing her without getting beaten
-is then working for Kaido and saying there's no chance in hell of defeating a Yonko, alliances were always going to end in betrayal etc
So his time in the New World seems to have kinda broken him. Or at least made him cynical. He was trashed by Kizaru, didn't even see Big Mom and was defeated and then ended up a stooge to Kaido. I think that's setup for him to see Luffy actually go for a Yonko, making a damn good fight of it, then Apoo decides to hell with it, he'll place his trust in Luffy and so on. Luffy reawakens his own pride as an individual pirate and he goes back to being the Apoo we first saw that was willing to attack an Admiral. If a Beast Pirate shouts at him for betraying him we'll see Apoo parrot the betrayal line he gave Kid
Drake's SWORD thing is too big a deal for me to think he's getting defeated by anyone on the Alliance. Especially since him and Law have already collaborated
