It’s really not out of nowhere. All oda has to do is allow Croc to regain his power from 20 years ago. The same strength that led him to fighting Primebeard, the strength that Mihawk respected enough to join with, and which was hyped as equal to prime Rayleigh in the Stampede Movie

From the plot I only know he was defeated by Whitebeard, meaning he was an unspecified amount below top tier. It could very well be around Kid's level or lower. But I'll give you it's possible he could be stronger than I accounted for in my comment.

In the movie it was stated prime bullet = Prime Rayleigh and it also showed a flashback where prime bullet and pre WB fight crocodile fought one another to a stand still.

And I don’t think oda would compare kids rise to power to luffys like he did for crocodile in that SBS.

Personally, I'd prefer if they didn't get any outside help. Like, "WG accounts for all of that yet Mihawk still holds the fort" (yes, I'm a fan).

I'm not saying two admirals going down to Mihawk, but if Mihawk, with Croco's backup, makes them order retreat that's more than satisfying enough.

If someone has to help them then... either Shanks, or Perona arriving with Moria (who, of course are no top tiers, but both their powers are strong nuisances). They don't have any more friends than we know of. I was thinking Weevil if they fred him but I don't know why they would go that far for him.

I'll google the flashback, that part is interesting.

I'm not taking the Bullet = Rayleigh stuff seriously since he was a villain prior to CoC coating and G5. I couldn't take Shiki seriously for similar reasons.
