I don’t think Oden’s retardation can ever be topped.
Imagine thinking that dancing through the streets naked like a clown would ever result in Kaido and Orochi keeping their word with you.
“Oh he danced naked through the streets so let’s honor his wishes for the next 20 years”, objectively unfathomable logic
Harald actually had a concrete plan to integrate the giants with human society via the Marines, solidify his relationship with the Government via becoming a Holy Knight (inferior to Admirals), and boost Elbaph’s relationships with humanity via trading and such. How should Harald have known that the inner WG were a collection of demonic scum?
Just because Harald witnessed the racism of Celestial Dragon scum like Saint Shanks first hand doesn’t mean he would have had any way to realize the truth of the Government lol. Saint Shanks simply embodied the prejudice that Harald was seeking to overcome. If Harald would have abandoned his ambition because of that one instance, then he truly would have been a shortsighted moronic child.

This also Goes to show you luffy is goofy but he be standing on business built different from the rest of the flock. Can anyone honestly say they see luffy twerking for 5 years or selling out his country to the WG after everything he’s seen?

Harald is facing a force much greater than his country while not being aware of their true nature whiel Oden was facing a force on par if not weaker than his own and had access to multiple top tiers that would have gladly joined and destroyed Kaido with him.

Harold refused to join xbec and help him which in turn could have saved him from getting DR on GV and killed,who knows maybe even roger pirates would have helped him if xbec told them everything he knew garp only stayed to protect the little guys in the WG.
Xbec rocks pirates Harold +giants possibly roger pirates and garp could definitely fend off the WG for decades to come. But odens was more embarrassing but Harold also had opportunities.

So, you are saying Zoro can damage King, but Oden can't. The same Zoro that failed to knock down Kaido while Oden did it and gave him PTSD while doing so.
There's no reason to believe that Oden couldn't figure out how to beat King in a death match, but I wouldn't take his intelligence for granted. Especially after we saw how limited invincibility worked against him when he attacked Orochi.
