However as of yet, there are no plot nerfs constricting big mom, meaning that she will be using her full power in this arc.

While these abilities are often seen by many fans to be secondary to her own physical strength, they very, very overpowered, and have the potential to change the tide of the entire war, if big mom were to have her way.
With her fruit, Big Mom can create a near endless army of homies. In a war where the allies are already hugely outnumbered, big mom's abilities could crush the allies entire hopes and dreams of defeating kaido. The one counter to this, however is brook.
Brook's yomi yomi no mi has shown to actually have superiority over the soru soru no mi. Through the use of his fruit, brook can directly damage intangible homies, such as prometheus and zeus. Through his music, brook can even "exorcise" the homies and release the souls from their bodies.
This will be brook's role this arc. If the tide shifts in the direction of the allies, big mom will surely use her fruit to create a homie army. With the beast pirates as her allies, she can take a few years of lifespan from extremely powerful characters such as the calamities, and even kaido himself. Her awakening might even increase the range of her soul pocus, allowing her to grab souls from the entirety of onigashima, maybe even from the shores of wano. If she does this, brook is the one and only person who can stop her.
