Questions & Mysteries Why did Law not use the personality transplant on Hawkins?

#1
Law could have just used his personality transplant move on Hawkins and Bepo, making those two switch bodies, and then have Bepo, in Hawkins body, remove the straw dolls, and then switch their personalities back and kill Hawkins

Good Lord, how often do we have to say it:

It's fucking OP! Don't think about (inner-manga) logic when you read it. There are many huge PIS moments and logical "flaws". Just ignore them and enjoy the ride. If you can't do it, you won't be able to enjoy this manga.

Oda never even wanted it to be an example of storytelling excellence. It's just that some fans vastly overestimate the level of storywriting in OP and therefore people are surprised when they realize that there are actually many instances of questionable writing.

Yeah, it’s pretty clear to me that the only reason why the personality transplant ability exists is because Oda really wanted to write a Freaky Friday type scenario with the SHs. It’s too overpowered of an ability, so Oda won’t let Law use it when it could actually be useful

What does PIS mean?

With who? Weren't Law and Hawkins alone?
Law could have used it even earlier when he ran into Hawkins for the first time. Switch Hawkins personality with some random goon, attack Hawkins body, and then the damage would transfer from Hawkins’ body to the body of the goon that Hawkins is occupying, thus killing Hawkins

You could make hundreds of "Why didn't Law use this previously established overpowered ability on this person" and the anwwer will pretty much always be "because plot".

At least with the Yonko we got an explanation with their haki being too strong but still.

that explanation unfortunately just made things worse, because now people are debating whether Law's ability can work on characters who are weaker than Yonkos but still strong (Commanders, Supernovas, etc)

it's now a never-ending debate of "is their haki stronger than's Law's?" to justify his broken ability not being utilized against them (when the real short answer is just Plot.)

I'll tell it like it is: Haki was the worst thing Oda ever came up with.

He didn't know another way to write around logia powers and therefore butchered his entire powersystem by bringing up a completely new and pretty generic "second powersystem".

It took a lot away from the originality of One Piece and I think it's one of the many reasons why post-skip One Piece is clearly lacking compared to pre-skip.

lmao if that thing ever happens, do you think Bepo would automatically knows everything about Hawkins ability? Franky cant even control Chopper monster point :kobeha:
