Which four emperors? Why would they kill him.....WB mostly won't , BM has a history..........marines were executing him lots of times..........this has nothing to with strength my friend.......
Kaido alone challenged the Navy and Enperors and the end result is him beaten 7 times and captured 18 times. It said no one managed to kill him, not just the marines. Very iffy to make make this about the Marines alone for some reason.

Yes but why would they kill him is a question.....will WB kill kaido before knowing about oden?.....BM has the whole sister thing with him...... marines have the reason to execute him....lots of times....

Dude its obviously plot.....it was shown that you don't even need ACOA to hurt Kaido. His intro said that the emperors were apart of his defeats and captures but he still alive for no reason.

This is why you don't look too deep into hype but the most logical explanation here is he wasn't a big enough player when he probably got caught to draw the Admirals attention. Admirals are busy soldiers, high up on the command chain, they probably don't have time for every upstart they catch. There's probably relatively high ranking officers in the Navy who rarely if ever even get to see an Admiral in person, they're pretty much celebrities. (Maybe I'm wrong about the timeline though and there's proof of when he got caught)

You can bet your ass if marines got Kaidou now, the first thing they're doing is putting sea stones on him and Akainu himself is coming to take his head off, if they're serious about killing him ofcourse.

@MonsterKaido Also, why didn't they send him to Impel Down? Shiki was the first and only person to escape the prison before Luffy showed up. Why not place Kaido in sea stone or place him in water to keep his strength drained or something? Again it's just dumb plot like Kaido never encountering people who can hurt him like Kidd or Law.
It is what it is:kayneshrug:

I wont say am a 100% sure @MonsterKaido

I hate deferring to plot reasons for why things happen so I wont say that yet
I would rather believe the people that could kill him didnt try to bar oden ofc.

if the fight on the roof continues to ask questions about his mortality which I think it will cause he keeps talking about dying
I may or may not have a different answer for you. thanks for the tag.

Rocks was such a massive group that it's possible Kaidou was just completely overshadowed by the others back then. They were hardly a pirate crew, just a massive clusterfuck of pirates.

Judging by the statements, the navy clearly wasn't taking Kaidou seriously, it's possible some of his captures were before even joining Rocks anyway (I know he didn't have his fruit though).

Kaido has to be in his teens then. I don't think so......he still was highlighted........

They didn't even bother executing Shiki lmao. It's clear that the World Gov. tries to maximize whatever they can get from high profile pirates they capture.
Yes but they were executing kaido repeatedly........

In retrospect only. He's a got damn Yonkou now, so ofcourse he's going to be highlighted. As another beast to come out of that crew.

Nothing says he was highlighted during his actual time in the crew. What we do know is he was far from top dog.

true, but in this case they actually tried.

He was a rocks pirate nonetheless...........do you know when he became a yonko?..........it is never stated he was getting captured when he was a teen.........his intro covers the course of his life..........

I'm talking about possibilities without plot holes, you're acting like I'm Oda's editor giving you a guaranteed answer.

No you're not. You're shooting down my points without explaining how they're impossible. If you can find a legit hole in them I'm all ears. There might be something I'm missing, but you've failed to point it out.

Kaido challenging marines while being a rookie is nothing though.........even roger will get captured when he is 10 years old............you challenge someone when you are decently strong.......

Honestly though, as much as One Piece is a fantasy manga, Oda does try and maintain some level of real World politics in the story. Sure, the Admirals are licensed to kill, and will execute someone if the need arises, but they aren't executioners. If Kaido gets captured, calling in an Admiral to kill him would not be on the top of the to do list. And even if that was the case, location of where Kaido is captured, in conjunction with the nearest Admiral is key as well.

Kaido doesn't seem to care if people try to kill him, in fact he welcomes it. What he does care about is when people fail to kill him. When that happens, he loses interest, wrecks whoever it was that tried to kill him, and moves on. If he gets captured, and they try to kill him and fail, he's not going to sit around and wait for an Admiral to be called in to finish the job.

Also I believe that the possibility of someone being able to kill him is what's most appealing to Kaido, rather than him actually wanting to die. If he truly wanted to die, he could have just let Oden finish the job. However when the prospect of dying became a reality, Kaido fought to live.

I'm sure this will all be fleshed out in Kaido's backstory, whenever Oda decides to get to it, but there is definitely something more than meets the eye with the whole "Kaido wants to die" plotline.
