One Piece is a series where people are sometimes born with great strength, but even the strongest fighters have to truly work to become elite, for many years.

Koby went from being weak as hell to using Adv CoC in less than like two years.

A lot of people hate characters like that because they feel them getting such a quick power-up over a timeskip is cheap compared to characters that spent decades trying to reach that level.

Imagine spending all your life trying to get good at a sport, only to lose to a super-talented kid with lucky genes in a 1v1. You'd be pissed.

The idea that Koby is going to surpass Admirals who spent years growing their strength just fucking pisses off those Admiral fans, and it makes sense why.

But, it's a shounen, and that's what happens: the young main characters always manage to get incredibly powerful really quickly.

It's like Kuzan is a Pokemon that takes 5 times as long to level up as Koby. It just feels like Koby is cheating the game.

First Koby don't have conqueror coating, that attack is basically rokugun + armament. Look how much Luffy and Zoro had to go through to unlock it and Koby's only serious fight was getting one shoted by Luffy, if Koby have ACOC it's nullify everything that two major characters had done. Koby's attack was not that powerful how fandom perceive it. It's at best on Frenkie radical beam level, plus Koby almost feinted after that attack. Nothing big or devastating as people would lead you to believe.

It was obvious Oda wanted him to be an important character from the start of the story.
Personally I like him but I don't want him Eos equal to monster trio. My bet is that he will be like a top vice admiral just like Kuzan/Borsalino/Akainu were top vice admirals at Roger's era. Monster trio Eos will not fight the likes of Coby and Grus but the current admirals. Only at the end of the future big war and after SHPs retirement Coby and Grus will be admirals

Alright, he'll get it in a few weeks then. Does that really change my point?

If Koby is Garp's protoge and the future of the Marines, and doesn't have a DF, he has to get Adv CoC.

Either way, he'll have reached a crazy level of power within around two years, even if you're right about him not having Adv CoC now, when he does get Adv CoC.
