Actually Mihawk would be more "in character" here than when he went under Buggy or was sweating thinking about fighting the yonkos.

No, Mihawk’s stated reason for having buggy as a figurehead is so that Buggy can get fucked by the marines instead of him.

That is in line with everything Mihawk’s said and done for the last 1120 chapters… he doesn’t fight people when he doesn’t want to fight them

Anyway, this is just going in circles, now, we can agree on one thing, NONE OF THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN

Mihawk MUST fight Zoro, meaning Mihawk MUST remain in Cross guild so that Cross guild can reach laugh take, meaning Cross guild MUST NEVER fight anyone of note since the only power Cross guild has is Mihawk but Mihawk has already said he’d abandon Cross guild if they ever got into such a fight

Therefore none of this discussion matters because it will never happen… What MUST happen is Zoro fighting Mihawk and anything else is headcanon
