Nothing. The point is to create a good fight for Zoro.
Also, Zoro so far has barely tried, the usual stuff at start of Zoro's fights. He never goes all out from the beginning.
We saw it on the rooftop as well, he constantly tries harder and harder as the fight goes by.
The attacks used so far are low-tier attacks used for beginning of the battle...
Oni Giri was used to open up the battle vs Mihawk as well.
Then he tried a little bit harder and used Ultora Gari, same vs King.
Then he tried to get him down from the sky with Tatsumaki.
None of those attacks are really high-end attacks focused on cutting tough things.
Shishi Sonson, Rashomon, Sanzen Sekai or Asura moves are the default go-to attacks when things are hard to cut.
Also, we might see Gorilla Arms to overpower King physically. The fight needs to be good and Zoro needs to take damage otherwise 2x pain build-up wouldn't have much weight behind it.
Knowledge of King's race is unlikely the point here because knowing it changes nothing.
Also, even if Zoro goes all out and tries to decapitate King, there is a chance that it wouldnt work because King is hyped up to be more durable than Kaido. The knowledge will end up tying into revealing how King's abilities work and what has to be done to deal with them.
The solution is unlikely to be "try stronger attack and go for the neck". Even if that is the solution, it wont happen until the end since there is no point in Zoro trashing everyone storytelling and choreography-wise.
I dont think it is that simple. CoC should do nothing to King as well.
Otherwise, he would be lol diff and such caliber of the opponent should not be lol diff, not even for Zoro.
