It's a lie that Mihawk seeks challenges

So far in the manga, he has either complained or backed down from tough fights/situations while flexing on weaklings only

Mihawk should have just be a solo bounty hunter who's hired by WG or pirates to hunt pirates
It would be cool that way

Lol it's obvious that the WG will need to be destroyed for this Utopia to be a reality because as as of now if the WG determine Utopia to be a threat, the country will be utterly decimated soon after as Imu showcased before. Where will Crocodile find an ancient weapon because we know Pluton's not in Alabasta as Crocodile believed it to be. So where will this overwhelming power come from?

And fuck Buggy. Seriously.
You realize that Caribou, a known marine hunter, knows the location of Pluton right?

Sorry, but that's complete and utter bull-jive. If these dreams are simply afterthoughts outside of Luffy's, then what was the point of the "Barrel Scene"? Where these characters expressed their dreams to each other with so much glee and determination on why they've became the Straw Hats. Or when people like Sanji showed such a passion of the All Blue, and spilled his heart Luffy about it? Was all of that just a farce this whole time? What was the point of all that build up if the dream are nothing more than stepping stones for Jesus King Luffy? It may be reality, but its also poor writing.
Mate you said it it’s reality.

The important thing for Oda is making them achieve their dream it doesn’t matter how some fans feel about the way it’s done. And yes they are only just stepping stone in comparison to Luffy’s goal just by looking how Oda has been treating their dreams from the moment they joined till now.

Sanji’s all blue? Nothing has been done about it and was only mentioned few time.

Usopp’s? Barely any note worthy change.

Chopper? Lol don’t even need to talk about this.

Zoro? Only thing done is Zoro stating he wants to be WSS every few arcs yet no challengers appeared and it’s only Mihawk.

Fact of the matter is some their dreams is gonna be achieved by story progression and not them going out of their way to step up and do it.

Only Luffy’s dream that gets the work and development to make it happen.

let’s not act like one piece and Oda is a different breed in comparison to most stories/manga’s.

As I pointed out, destruction of WG is an assumption of the fandom.
To Cross Guild, that is not a problem nor is the WG's island-destroying weapon.
If Caribou works for Crocodile, he wont find 1 Ancient Weapon but 2, possibly even all 3.
Buggy-senchou rules supreme. Time to acknowledge his greatness. :pepebuggy:

Mihawk's character has stayed the same, he has always been a passive figure. Keep in mind that he's the only active top tier pirate who joined the Government for stability and stayed back in Paradise instead of living in the New World. He at some point reached the top of swordsmanship, therefore his dream, and there was nothing left for him but waiting for a serious contender that, given his title, would come for his head instead of the other way around; hence why keeping that quite life is his only concern as his life is about waiting.

This type of character, when faced with a greater force than his own like the World Government is, would need to flee to the New World first and then find a new way to achieve a peaceful place (now that he lost the Government's pardon and his island in the weaker Paradise). And both Crocodile's Utopia and "working" under Buggy is giving it to him instead of getting involved in wars bigger than his own ambition he doesn't even care about (he gains nothing from confronting the Emperors as he could be defeated and die while doing so without a potential victory giving him anything of value).

He just wants to chill and wait for Zoro. And I'm sure the resolution of Cross Guild will eventually involve Crocodile finding out that Mihawk's ambition of facing Zoro for the title is the only thing that really matters to him; and I bet he will find out at the gates of Laugh Tale.

They hunted boa, weevil because it was a shibi hunt, now you got sengoku applying marines will be after guild, doing nothing but putting a bigger target on his head, not a good character and contradicting, also funny how you try defend mihawk but have a problem with a certain other character
It’s not contradictory at all lmao. Mihawk was being hunted and joining cross guild stopped that hunt.

That’s called finding a solution.

Maybe they'd hunt him less if he wasn't one of the big three of a organization paying bounties to kill the marines, but then again just my opinion
Pragmatically speaking, the Marines should have given him amnesty for his past crimes, they know he is not hunting Marines anymore and would stay on his island if not provoked... why provoke him when they are thin on resources?

But Oda needs Mihawk to be dragged to the plot.
