The only way possible to fight with Kaido as equal is by CoC coating.

Zoro unleashed with Asura that's why he blocked and blitzed Kaido even leaving a scar on him.

Luffy was only able to 1v1 him after unleashing it.

Oden used it to scar Kaido.

Big Mom used it to split the sky with him. We know WB and Shanks also has it. Roger had it.

Luffy G5 couldn't do shit against Kaido without CoC coating.

Kaido hyped CoC coating to the roof.

Greenbull is afraid of Kaido. He didn't used CoC coating probably doesn't have.

It's funny how people think that Coc is an end-all be-all ultimate power in One Piece. That would basically mean that Zoro and Luffy are at the peak of their power right now and won't become stronger in the future arcs. Remember, the guy that said "OnLY ThE fEw oF tHe StRoNgeSt cAn" was defeated by a devil fruit awakening, not coc. Zoro had to use adv coc to defeat a scrub like King. That won't be enough against an admiral or Mihawk (probabaly even Shiryu). Each power-up or new attack is only as strong as the current arc main opponent. That's how it always was. For every next main opponent that same attack becomes basically ineffective which means who ever Zoro fights next will just block, dodge or tank KoH like it's nothing, Same goes for giant Nika fist and Ifrit Jambe as well.
Sure, in the end it could be that Zoro's next attack will be the same shit but with "stronger" coc, but I really hope Oda is more creative than that...

ACoC was what CoA was pre-timeskip.

Luffy getting CoA would have been a huge boon but someone like Marguerite getting it is worthless.

Luffy getting ACoA was massive but someone like Yamato getting it was pointless.

Doesnr deserve Adcoc ..still salty Doffy cant ever be hyped by Kaido for his strength.

Dino toughness is literally just Kaido's toughness, thats why Ancient Zoans are called "Ryu Ryu no Mi", which means Dragon Dragon fruit. Making Kaido feel pain isn't a big deal for today's standards, if we take strong characters into consideration. Even Momonosuke did it, with a bite.

Also, it doesn't mean all the Dinosaurs have the same durability and endurance, the strength of the owner of the Devil Fruit is still something to be taken into consideration. Queen, a Cyborg, is someone much tougher than Page One for example, Oda literally made Marco hit him alongside King with flames on his back

The only one who is factually above them is the Lunarians with their flames active on their backs

CoC was always the strongest haki, its the one Luffy had as speciality while Zoro had CoA and Sanji CoO after the timeskip.

This doesn't mean every other ability is suddenly useless OR that all CoC users are suddenly equal. We saw Yamato get pinned by Greenbull alongside all other scabbards+Momo, and GB hasn't shown CoC.
Same GB was caught red handed by Shanks with a CoC blast before he skewered Momo. A level of CoC infusion that neither Kaido or anyone else has shown.

There are levels to CoC, and its not the sole power that determines a character's strength.

ACoC allowed Luffy to become a Yonko skysplitter and be compared to Roger and Whitebeard. So yes, Yamato getting it is completely underwhelming.

Yamato getting ACoC, is like Kaku getting awakening. G5/awakening literally turned Luffy into a God. Once Luffy gets something, Oda just gives it away like candy. But he still doesn't make the newer ones as strong as the old.
