Current Events Why is it that only powerscalers are having fun with One Piece now?

Not true at all.
The peak of OP in terms of sales and popularity happened during Marineford.
Now go back and read the old chapter discussion threads from 2010.
They are still out there (apforums, myanimelist, mangahelpers etc.).
It's a completely different atmosphere. There are actually nice discussions and not just a bunch of toxic agenda kids yelling "L" or "xy in the mud" at each other. All that despite actually being in the middle of the biggest OP fighting arc up to date.
It's just that the fandom has changed and a lot of the younger (online) fans and Naruto/Bleach fans that came over are just annoying af.

I've been thinking about that alot especially last few months. I think Kda has focused more on the popular characters and characters who scale high in the current meta. The story doesn't make alot of sense, like Garp going alone with the power of a thousand sun's and afterwards going from building level to donut level. Characters need to be hyped and all the scales are imaginary so it's just shit reading.
Because power scaling carries one piece. People who say they read one piece for "lore" are straight bullshitting. The lore in one piece is overrated and underwhelming, which is why people don't care about the lore chapters. The lore, flashbacks and story telling were much for compelling and interesting in naruto. Itachi lore, akatsuki flashbacks, madara/hashirama, minato/ninetails lore, naruto lore chapters were fantastic. One piece lore is dull and boring, no one cares about vegapoop lore and boring kuma flashbacks
One piece lore appear very briefly appear until the latest arcs.
What ",Carry" one piece is world building it is the foundation of one piece.
I have yet to see a better Shounen world building.
When Luffy does something the world reacts, that ends up breeding opportunities for characters unrelated to Luffy to act.
Many other Shounen are way too constricted, we see one kingdom/country/whatever.

The fights in one piece are also overated, characters will keep getting up until the villain is defeated conquering power up after power up, side character fights and now SH fights are one hit then move on somewhere else then come back to see the fight is already done.
Not really every place is the same, they are all oppressed until Luffy comes in and saves them, more isn't always better
