Because the world government would see Kaido adventuring with a man of the same build with jet black wings and a sword he can light on fire immediately after the lab was destroyed. And I doubt they are going to assume a lunarian burned to death.

And again, he’s hiding his face so that the fodder of the crew don’t sell him out. We’ve seen Kaido gives his calamities missions, like Jack to go find raizo. If king went on a mission and the fodder knew king was a lunarian they’d sell him out instantly and then king gets arrested again.

The mask doesn’t hide king from the WG just from pirates who’d tell the WG where king wil be.

You get that if he didn’t cover his face anywhere he’d go, the marines would be waiting for him. So he’d basically have to hide behind Kaido for his whole life if he kept his face uncovered.

I mean do you think Queens real name is Queen? The world government knows Frankys real name is Cutty flam but his bounty poster says Franky.

My point is that obviously power level doesn't signify a lot when it comes to bounty since the spectrum of parameters being considered is so vast, but apparently many still commit this rookie mistake.

Power level is the number one indicator of bounty unless they’re special cases like Robin.

Close bounties in the same crew means close in power unless oda tells us otherwise.

Oda even writes specific power levels based on their bounty levels:

Katakuri king and queen all hyped as exceeding a billion berry bounty

Kaido big mom and shanks all have 4 billion berry bounties

Whitebeard and roger all the only ones to surpass 5 billion

It’s clear oda creates power levels through bounties.

Jack and katakuri are in different crews. Kaidos crew is more aggressive than Big Moms and have higher bounties.

But Smoothie and cracker still have close bounties because they’re close in power. Just like King and Queen.

You’re comparing apples and oranges. I’m comparing two oranges.

Zoro himself doesn’t think he would’ve taken out queen easily, and he wouldn’t have. Zoro has no answer to queens invisibility. Zoro can’t block electricity as shown in Zou. Zoro could barely dodge laser like attacks, actual lasers would be quite difficult for him.

King vs Queen is an extreme diff fight in Kings favor. Sanji downplayers like to ignore odas very clear portrayal of this in exchange for headcanon, but this is what oda showed us. This is why oda portrayed them as such with Marco and Zoro both directly comparing king and queen.
