People can say dumb things such as Sanji ran away or what not. Dumb things that only began after the Toei version of Sanji vs P1 happened. But logically speaking, we know P1 got defeated.

- P1 stated he will destroy the town -> After the fight....no town destroyed
- P1 in the team looking for Sanji -> After the fight....mysteriously disappears for 2 weeks
- Drake nonchantly looking for Sangoro -> After the fight.....Drake pissed at Sangoro
- Sanji worried for the town -> After the fight.....Sanji not worried at all
- Law trusted Sanji to handle P1, so they dont worry about people coming after them - After the fight....Law not worried at all

It's blatantly obvious P1 was defeated. Whether he was two-shotted or was defeated with more attacks is besides the point. Theres no way Sanji would leave him to destroy the town. Theirs no way P1 would just leave Sanji alone after getting beaten up. Theres no way Sanji and Law wouldnt be worried....if P1 was not defeated.

Now....why did Oda off-panel it ? Simply because it would make P1's opponent look bad. In this case...Usopp.

Usually when villains are defeated....they begin to look like scrubs after that. Here are a few examples:


Narratively, Oda doesnt want Usopp to fight Sanji's leftovers. Yes....we know Sanji is far stronger than Usopp. But RS Sanji would logically beat the crap outta him. Whether it was a 2-shot or not, P1 would've gotten rag dolled and toyed with. Having him then fight Usopp....whilst new people, who havent been dehyped fight other SHs....just wouldnt be fair to Usopp. Oda off-panelled it for that specifc reason.

It maybe later revealed that Sanji defeated P1. But I don't think Oda will ever show Sanji defeating P1.

Agreed, no real need to show it. Whether Page One got injured badly or Sanji left before he could land some devastating hits doesn't really matter since the point is that Ancient Zoans are durable and resilient and that Page One wasn't Sanji's big fight, he was just a chance to display the Raid Suit's powers and for Sanji to get a hang of the suit. Sanji's task was to stop Page One from damaging the town and his appearance as O-Soba Mask allowed him to complete that task as he got Page One's attention. Sanji might have not completed his other task of beating Page One before X Drake and Hawkins showed up but it's clear that Sanji came out of the clash superior since he didn't even bust out Diable Jambe yet he had Page One howling in pain after every hit.

Sanji delegates the task of watching over and protecting Nami as well as the task of fighting Page One to Usopp so it's clear he doesn't see the guy as a problem. There are hints that Sanji beat Page One, like X Drake's change in attitude and Page One no longer looking for Sanji so it's still impressive for Sanji either way.

I actually think he did beat Page One. He was vastly superior to him and if he did not do any significant damage, he would just kick him until the morning to end the fight at that stage. Him leaving Page One to Usopp is also proof of that I guess.
Sanji’s main fight is probably Daifuku this arc. I rate Daifuku and Oven above the likes of P1/Ulti/BM/Sasaki and around the same ballpark with WsW. They are much more trickier to deal with compared to F6 members due to their unique abilities.
Believe it or not, Big Mom’s crew is much better and harder to deal with compared to Beasts Pirates. Their bounties do no represent their true strength imho.

Hmm.

The fight was interrupted first of all, there was no mandatory substantial offpaneling for all we know, or better we don't know which was the extent. If Sanji didn't defeat Page One that could implicate several things to us unknown except for the notion that unlike Katakuri post Luffy clash, Page One was not that later on in the timeline spot ok.

I can't say Sanji defeated Page One if it wasn't shown. Sanji probably used haki but not diable jambe as you highlight it. It would be more believable to one shot Page One if he used diable jambe with the raid suit then just the raid suit alone. Aerial attack looks cool and flashy, though Sanji do those to amplify the weight with gravity when he doesn't have enough power in his kick. I think the battle was undecisive to hype both sides.
