Zoro vs King > Peak Demon Slayer animation
It wouldn't go that far, but it's comparable lmao.

With demon Slayer being a bit better due to cleaner drawing, while some drawings in the 1062 was a bit wack (especially when characters were moving and it became all mushy)

But yes.
This is the first episode I have rewatched multiple times and still go rewatch parts of it (mainly all the King parts), ever since the episode of Rengoku vs Akaza in Demon Slayer (which IMO is peak Demon Slayer animation)

This is definitely better than Rengoku vs Akaza lol but its more on the level of Tengen vs Gyutaru (I think Tengen/Gyutaru slightly edges out)

Anyways this is wayyyy too big for One Piece standards..like head and shoulders above anything from One Piece prior to this.

I can't even think of any One Piece movies coming close to this level.

Disagree. They both seem the same shit to me. Horrible animation.
Man shut the fuck up

Your ass would turn mentally retarded drawing just one minute of that episode with the amount of hard work it takes.

Don't talk out of your ass if you don't know shit.

I wasn't talking about the scale of the attack..more like crispness and vibrance of animation..can they make Luffy vs Kaido look better than this..there is also the idea of "doing too much" and turning the whole episode into mumbo jumbo spam of visuals
I'd argue they did too much in this episode. If they toned down the aura show, it would have been perfect.

Definitely.

King part was pure GOLD

Zoro part was great, when the auras were just restricted to his sword.
But as soon as the green aura enveloped whole of Zoro, it kinda ruined the Zoro moments for me

I like Rengoku vs Akaza more. Maybe it's because of the soundtrack tricking my brain lmao, IDK

And yeah, by OP standards this is something completely unseen.

That's preference I guess
I didn't mind auras in this episode tbh
I think these scenes were done better. Easier to follow, less muddied up.

Flawless art + animation combo, for all the people complaining how pre skip One Piece was better, these flashback scenes shit on preskip in every way, they're just as clean but much better animated with much better art. They maintain the One Piece feel while adjusting to the current scale.

If Zoro vs King got this treatment it would be the perfect episode. I still think King has the best looking attack in the verse, it's just how Zoro interacts with the attack, glowing all green and shit which is just overdone imo. They could have toned it down a couple notches.

But then again these scenes feel notably smaller than Zoro scenes with the way people reacted to both

Zoro vs King is heavily being stated to be greatest animated one piece episode ever

These episodes came and went away

That's not because they added auras but because they added way more content to the fight itself, and Zoro > Oden in popularity. They could have done the same thing and just reduced the lightshow.

The scenes I linked are pretty faithful to the manga.

Do you think Demon Slayer fights are overdone as well..?

I don't think Zoros popularity is the reason for that tho..tbh Zoros Ashura scene was pretty much spot on with Manga..you could add that to the same category as scenes that you showed me..but reaction wasn't like this
