Lemme ask you this
If I were to show a neutral person who hasn't seen One Piece before

Oden vs Kaido scene or Zoro vs King from last chapter..which do you think would impress more?

Zoro vs King.

Not because Zoro was glowing green, but because the content was more engaging. If they kept everything the same but toned down the auras to the Oden vs Kaidou scene level, you got yourself the perfect scene.

Oh I agree to that
But then again CoC release was much more in Zoro vs King anyways

Oda himself drew reverse Kame Hame Ha
I guess you could replace green with red..how else do draw that?

My main problem with 1061 i wished Queen had felt the attacks more, like in the manga.

Also Bouef Burst was supposed to be a simple move but extremely destructive.

And the observation haki feat also got nerfed, because they made whole scene where Sanji thinks to himself and realizes he didn't hit Some, but in the manga he only realized that in the middle of the blitz, when Queen was approaching the geisha with speed, which somehow managed to make him see through Queen's invisibility.

They boosted Queen's perfomance, but also boosted King's, waaay more actually, it almost looks like they were adapting something else. Dude's final move went from a mid flaming/magma dragon to 900 dragons lmao

KoH Zoro got overpowered by King in the anime with Ultra Tiger Hunt, in the manga, King tried his best but just kept getting bodied.

And lets not forget Sanji got some dope animation in Onigashima, with a more consistant and better quality than Zoro, Ep 1045 is insane for example.

fluffy doesn't struggle with zoro in terms of popularity at all
He barely beat Zoro in global popularity poll only because Fans of literally every other character voted for Luffy so Zoro doesn't wine..even then Zoro got 1.4 Million votes and Luffy got 1.6
Guess how many #3 got 900k and that was Nami

It’s expected
Luffy struggles to stay above Zoro as the most popular character while Sanji is the most hated character in the series
Sanji is still at best third most popular and at worst 4th most popular tho..he isn't exactly hated

I’ve legit seen Zoro win a popularity poll once
A lot of kids flock to Zoro anyhow just like they do to Luffy except they think Zoro is the coolest anime character in existence

Polls say one thing but the actions of the fandom AND overall community, even toie say another

I was not impressed by Sanji's fight at all thats both for manga and anime. The anime was a huge let down. Like is it really so hard for One Piece anime to take 1 or 2 years off? Sanji deserved a better fight than that.
I'd argue they did too much in this episode. If they toned down the aura show, it would have been perfect.
That's always been my problem with this new animation style. I miss the old days when I just fighters going blow to blow. One Piece isn't like most Shonen so the aura stuff is waay overdone.

I think these scenes were done better. Easier to follow, less muddied up.

Flawless art + animation combo, for all the people complaining how pre skip One Piece was better, these flashback scenes shit on preskip in every way, they're just as clean but much better animated with much better art. They maintain the One Piece feel while adjusting to the current scale.

If Zoro vs King got this treatment it would be the perfect episode. I still think King has the best looking attack in the verse, it's just how Zoro interacts with the attack, glowing all green and shit which is just overdone imo. They could have toned it down a couple notches.
The Oden one is dogshit. He literally started flying like he’s a DBZ character

Zoro is the most important and most popular of the 2 so it would make sense for them to put in more ressources into making the climax of his fight as spectacular as they could.

That aside, I really liked what they did with both how King's attack looked and how he himself was depicted launching it. No too big on how Zoro's movements were choreographed tho. He looked a tad bit sluggish and "weightless" (for lack of a better word) going through the massive scale they decided to give to King's attack. And yeah the aura stuff could have been toned down... Music was a nice surprise.

Actually enjoyed the climax to Sanji vs Queen. The final kick itself looked good enough and the Ifrit Jambe combo that comes just before it was pretty impressively animated. Felt like one of the rare big action scenes that didn't go for over the top proportions. It looked grounded, dynamic and was easy on the eyes without crazy visual effects all over.

Because Zoro is more popular. Just like how Luffy will have a better finale, because he's more popular and the protagonist. And Sanji's episode was great and did use a remix of his old theme. That's gonna be a trend for the major fights because they're treating them like theater experiences.
