Why the constant need to downplay female characters.

I don't think Oda sucks at writing women, he writes them differently because they are different.

Am I mistaken or do women not use their beauty to get ahead? Boa Hancock

Did female monarchs not arrange marriages to create powerful alliances and offspring? Big Mom

Do men not tend to follow around females because they're hot? Hina

Yes some of these characters suck, but it's an individual thing; Boa is a meme character in the same way that Buggy is they both suck and it has nothing to do with their sex. And lmao she is not Luffy's 'love interest' that was just a shitty assessment.

But ones like Monet, Vivi or Robin happen to be some of the best written characters in the show.

However some men and woman can think alike.
For example, Oda write only boys think mecha are cool while girls think it is lame. We saw this in punk hazard.
That is a very small minded mindset and it show one of many example of his sexism.

Then we have Hiyori.. wasting her life away without even trying to get stronger to get avenge for her father. Oda portray her as a tomboy because she likes to missile drop kick Momo..

Oda stereotypes women..
Nami - A greedy cat burglar.
Baby 5 - A maid in a maid outfit who always feel she is needed and is willing to kill herself if it make a person happy.
Tsuru 's Df - a washing devil fruit. Like come on..
Toki - an irrelevant woman who is just a baby maker. Even though she can be used to tell some mysteries of past but Oda failed hard.
Other countless examples

Speaking of Tsuru, she's another great example of wasted potential in One Piece, she's supposed to be a great tactician and a very formidable and powerful woman with Doflamingo fearing her, and her having a badass female crew, but yet it's never shown in action.

Her grand daughter has potential and yet was completely side line by the Boys..

It's Oda fault.

I still can't believe he allowed Yamato to shine when he trashes even BM.

I would not believe if you told me, he would make a woman get into a fight with Kaido and hold her ground if she is not BM.

The treatment Boa received didnt help much.

But in short, Oda himself donwplay his female characters fans just get his bad bias

Worst poster spot in this forum is already taken. You can stop trying.

Oda made a breeding machine a top contender for PK. Is that not enough?
Women were not exactly known to be successful pirates in the real world either so I fail to see the problem.
Most successful pirate in history is a woman you muthafucking dolt.

oda was bullied by girls his whole life..
This has nothing to do with Oda. Boa fought and almost soloed 30 percent of the remaining relevant characters in the show and people were visibly not moved. Imagine if Crocodile had such a feat.

And the half-dead Zoro, having fought Kaido 1 on 1 without acoc (before temporarily stopping the strongest attack of the series), made More damage than Yamato once in 50
Zoro vs kaidou. Zoro was essential one shot. He couldn't keep up with king in the speed department so he's getting speed blitzed and one shot by a serious Kaidou.

Cant stop telling the truth.
Being weaker sex doesn't mean females are less important. They have other skills they are great at

Men and Women are meant for different roles. The one saying otherwise are the ones who want to break families and tax the women by making them work overtime stealing mothers' time for kids
Is that a generalization, I read here?

What I am interested in: Do you think that you are a represantation of the majority of the poeple living in your country?

When Oda said he cant let a beautiful woman join the blackbeard pirate in Sbs 62, therefore making Devon more vulgar or "pirate like".That was another mark in Oda sexism because you can look up real life woman pirates in real life and you can honestly say they are average looking at best. However that's not that the point, woman pirates tend to dress up like men however due to Oda's no caring artstyle of woman by drawing of 3 circles and a X. Us the audience wouldn't be foolish enough to believe that this "male" character is not a female. If one piece characters fall for it in story that make them ridiculous.

Also the most successful pirate in RL was a woman. Her name is Cheng I Sao.

So everything stem into Oda just sucks at writing woman..
