For the life of me I cant understand why other Shanks fans want Shanks to not use Gryphon. Imo, if he's meant to fight Luffy, and hes "meant" to be Roger's protege (same moves), then its appropriate to have Luffy surpass Roger by proxy of Shanks.

Just my 2c. Whether or not Shanks is fought before Zoro fights Mihawk or at the same time is irrelevant. Imo, the highly likely scenarios are:

- At Laugh Tale or right before it (i.e. measure to PK).
- At the EoS with his own motives beyond the WG

Garp is a candidate for the strongest marine ever. In his prime he rivaled roger who was a stronger version of shanks. So considering that that old men's strength doesnt diminish as much in one piece, what makes you think that shanks can do what garp can?
