Rooftop Luffy vs King : Luffy can win this, internal damage will wear king down bit by bit and with FS and Snakeman he will hit King lot more than King will hit Luffy.

Post Udon Luffy / Rooftop Luffy is above King.

But even not talking about power level. The YC1 were given more highlight than others commander : more story, more importance, special powers etc.
Even their designs as a whole are great.

Portrayal wise they are a cut above the others and treated with more respect than others.

The commanders are not weak nor do they suck. Their portrayal may suck. As of right now, Whitebeard commanders still look the best among other Yonko commanders. Some people make it seem like the commanders that did loose a fight lost to a scrub. That never happened. To me, Marco and Katakuri stands above the rest.
