Doffy is definitely coming out of ID and i want Crocodile to orchestrate break down this time. He has some nasty past story with CD and I'm eager to see him amongst those who brings down CD .

While Buggy obviously will get the credit for all this.

Oda wanted to have Doflamingo & Crocodile in Film Red itself.

People who think that Doflamingo won't be come back need to get their brains checked.

He served his purpose, got his come-uppance, and can now chill and follow the chaos in the world.
Even if by some chance he does break out, I hope he won't be a focus point of the story again. Just tell us or show us ID prisoners escaping, one panel of him, and be done with it

Imho, no.

He has significant lore relevance yet to Imu, the National Treasure of Mariejoa and the Celestial Dragons more generally.

He's too useful to the lore for him to be left to rot.

I feel that somewhat Doffy will be there during the final war so somebody will eventually free him before that. Who knows, maybe even the WG to have a fighter more...

Actually if Oda decides to go strong with the Crossguild Doffy would be a perfect addition, also people would start to call foreshadowing when Doffy asked Croco to join him. Maybe..

If it is revos, Mugiwara fleet, Poseidon and gyojins vs the the WG, then Luffy and allies seem much stronger for sure.

So Cross guild might join WG and ask for Doffy to be free since he has connections with many armies due giving him weapons, making the battle more even.
