Honestly I think the fact that Kidd helping in Big Mom's defeat will play to his benefit on this Island. They hate Big Mom, and just might end up welcoming him with open arms. Kidd being Kidd however just might fuck up the initial hospitality as he is quite the hot head, and the giants are too proud of a race to take any shit. So its a 50/50 chance depensing on Kidds behavior.
After the Wano disaster, I have no expectations from Elbaf.
It will be another frozen country until MC arrives and when he leaves it will freeze again, just like Wano.
Kidd is a guy with the worst luck in OP so him getting into trouble again is expected.
If it goes otherwise, it would actually be a surprise.

If Kidd is gonna get his ass handed, it will be against Shanks. But I'm not sure if Oda would want Kidd to take a second L against Shanks. But, there might be some strong Elbaf Giants but they won't fight Kidd imo, it will be the other around. Giants will respect Kidd as a hero for defeating Big Mom.
The plan was for Zoro to round up the samurais.
Not gonna lie, first time Ashura Doji appeared along with his gang, I thought they were already Zoro's men whom he gathered off panel when Luffy was still in Zou. I thought there was a reason Ashura and Zoro didn't meet at all during Ashura's debut, and that was for "Ashura and gang have been Zoro's boys all along" twist. But that didn't happened. The recruiting of samurais and yakuzas didn't really happen until Golden Boy arrival.
Franky said he gonna work on anti Kaido weapons and it's forgotten too.

If you want more examples: Law didn't betray Ceasar and Vergo until Straw Hats came, Tontattas didn't attack Doflamingo until Straw Hats came, Hody Jones didn't rebel until Straw Hats came.
It is as if: the big plot won't start until Straw Hats came.
Same thing will happen again here: important plots on Elbaf won't advance by Kidd alone. To stall the plot, Kidd will get captured and locked instead.

Well, none of the giants we know stands a chance, but it's really poor way to judge the giants' powerlevel.
It is like we are judging the strength of Wano samurais from Punk Hazard Kinemon, Dressrosa Kanjuro or Zou Raizo, while in Wano there were monsters like Oden.
Or judging minks from Bepoo while there are dukes in Zou. Judging fishmen from Arlong while there are Jinbe. Etc.
Shown giants so far are fodders, but there will be many monster giants living in Elbaf, monster enough that Big Mom said she would definitely defeat other Yonkos had she got their assistance.
It's not farfetched to think whoever strongest giant in Elbaf is > Oden, because on military strength it is said Elbaf > Wano.
Just like Royal Guard > Gotei 13 and the leader of Royal Guard Ichibei is stronger than leader of Gotei 13 Yamamoto. Or Marine HQ > any other Marine bases, and Marine's strongest fighters all living in Marine HQ.
