Luffy would never ask someone to sacrifice their life for him.
But that's easily circumvented if Luffy is passed out and the surgery is the only way to save him. Law owes him as much (not that I expect Law to die anyway).

I completely forgot that Law would die doing the surgery; I am a goofball.


Well I do think the surgery would have to be relevant somehow, so yeah, still think it might happen. I don't think Law will die either tbh.

Not sure. If Oda wants the story to hit as hard as it did with Ace then maybe. Early OP sort of hinted at the idea that he was shortening his lifespan. Even up to Dressrosa. That kind of stopped the moment G5 was unlocked though..

It also give me personally a good place to stop once the inevitable sequel bait comes and ruins everything lol
