Speculations Will the Marine create a team to take the One Piece?

#1
In last chapter,we saw how some Marine's soldiers in Marineford, hearing Vegapunk's speech about the One Piece, wanted it to take it first, before the pirates. But that opinion was immediately contrasted as some other marine soldier said that their job is to protect people, not to find treasures. But,could Akainu create a small but competent team devoted to the search for the One Piece? And who would be the best marine soldiers to be in this team? Koby, for plot reasons would surely be a strong possibility. Also Smoker? Who else would you like to see in this team?

Deskainu is in the last panel. He'll have a crew for sure. With Gorosei owned, Imu will try to throw any forces he can at reaching his goals.

I wonder if Garlic, holy knights and the shadow-Pranks will team up or go individually due to their huge ego.
Akainu also has a huge ego of his own, so not sure he'd team up.

I wouldn't bet too much on Smoker as Oda clearly neglects him.

You can expect Koby for sure to lead SWORD to a bigger fight for the One Piece. Again because of the last panel.

Their slogan will be "The One Piece is not real"
More like:

"the one piece is a matter of national security and we have to secure and restrict access to it"

Marines won't go after one piece.

They will go after those who will go after one piece/Ancient Weapons to stop them from obtaining it.

Don't forget WG objective is to stop anyone from getting to one piece not to have it found

That makes no sense if you think about it.

They will try their best to "secure" all the weapons and seize them to hide somewhere. The entire world is after the One Piece.

I think Akainu would be more interested in using the One Piece as bait. Everyone is gonna move now.
Akainu would probably sacrifice everyone and everything, maybe the One Piece itself if he can, for his idea of Justice.

Akainu is waiting until the Gorosei return to laugh at them and tell them he will now do things his way and mobilize the marines to hunt for the One Piece.

That's the crux of the Egghead incident, it will spur the final big hunt for the One Piece.

I can see SWORD going for it, but without permission from the WG only to make sure that neither pirates nor Akainu get their hands on One Piece.

My personal hope though is that Akainu himself sets up a special task force that he will personally lead aboard his own custom marine battleship with a crew made up of adherents of absolute justice to find and destroy Laugh Tale. Marines like Ryokugyu, Onigumo, John Giant, and Doll might make for a nice team along with 5 or 6 more newcomers to match the number of the Blackbeard and Straw Hat crews, assuming Loda let's the Akainu team fight each of the Straw Hats or SWORD members and doesn't just regulate them to Nika fodder.

If something like that were to happen, I only hope that the anime adds a filler scene of Jonathan from the anime's G-8 arc getting called to join Akainu's team but refusing due to following his own path of justice, simply because the G-8 is still pure kino and everyone should know it.

That is of course if Oda decides not to keep Akainu locked behind a desk like Dragon for the rest of his life ...

I think Akainu has to lead something here... The whole world heard about it. It's not like they can afford to go without a direct approach any longer.

It's sink or swim now basically lol

SWORD exists to do the dirty. Not the direct stuff.

They don't even have the man-power for it!

They're bringing fleets from the main headquarters. He may commission a small specialist squad and he may even be part of it, but only for really special stuff. I think they're mobilizing pretty much all their forces.
