to add insult to injury, my credit card got charged twice for the order even though Target already cancelled the order completely and I now have to dispute the charge in the next few days
I'll wait for the reviews of the system on Youtube, along with more game releases for this console before I even consider buying one.
Chances are, like with all consoles, an upgraded version of the Switch 2 could be released somewhere down the line. The upgraded version would boast better capabilities over the original as well.

F Nintendo how can anyone support these $$ grubbing aholes.
Nintendo is pulling the same $H!+ Xbox tried years ago assigning licenses to physical games and locking consoles remotely if any mods are detected, additionally no one owns their Nintendo switch 2, if Nintendo wants to lock your device they can do it anytime. 🖕these guys.

it got cancelled immediately back in April and i've been searching in-stores the past 3 days at night to no avail (i don't get off work until 8 pm on weekdays).
i'm tired of waiting and having to compete against bots. the same thing (and people buying out all of the switch 2 stock) has been happening with pokemon tcg collections for 8 straight months with prices never dropping since then and nothing being available in person. I'll take the L and pay an upcharge if it means a guaranteed copy (which i am from the ebay seller that provided me the actual receipt and product in hand)
people where i lived literally camped outside of all the targets/walmarts/best buys since last Sunday. I have no chance to compete against those type of people in-person or online
i already know they're going to "sneak in" the invitation email at some random time on December 2025 by the time that I moved on 🤬

What about waiting for a few weeks or months? Won't the prices even drop after a product has been out for a while? I mean, Nintendo knows how badly the fans want their product so ofc they'll exploit it for maximum profit. Or is it different with games?

we're in unprecedented territory right now, nintendo has never sold this much in this short period of time in its existence, there's no guaranteed that prices and/or availability will ever "settle" down (Nintendo also historically never drops prices for products outside of mass backlash which hasn't and isn't happening for the Switch 2).
And with everything going on rn w/ tariffs, lack of economic stability, Trump/Musk, at this point - you either have it or you don't and you will have to more than likely to move on to something else. I have games current and upcoming that I want to play, so I'm not really thinking about whether they 'exploit' me or not. It's not like they're rewarding long time fans either for dedication, it's all about whether you're fast enough to click links or have a bot to order products on your behalf
PS5 for reference came out in 2020 and where I live, it took until October 2024 (almost 5 years) before I finally found them in stores and by that point, no one was really playing it anymore and the sales aren't even close to what Switch 2 is pulling right now in 3-4 days
