Agree, it is indeed difficult to find an interesting manga that is worth your time, and quite often even the ones that are promising in the beginning, can fall off so badly. Like Kaiju #8 seemed cool at first, then became mid. Same with Sakamoto Days. I used to love One Punch Man but now with the redraws and plot changes I am struggling to understand what's going on (and it is drawn by legendary Yuuske Murata, same artist that did Eyeshield21, the art is stellar). All those neo heroes plot just can't keep my attention.
I agree
Kaiju 8 disappointed me a lot....
Somehow the anime is still in hype lol
Sakamoto Days started good, but later it was boring
I never was a fan of OPM because the designs are great but yeah like the name describes it, it's a one shot manga xD
I agree that Naruto & Bleach were best around their midpoint (Pain arc and Hueco Mundo arc respectively). And OP was a lot better pre-TS, so to me it's like first 600 chapters were good. Same with Fairy Tail, it was better in the beginning. Rave is amazing throughout tho. FMA as well.
I agree here too
I loved Naruto until the Pain arc and Kage arc and Bleach was the best until Aizens fall.
OP pre TS is also OP best times.
FT was also at his best until the Tartaros arc (even if I still like the S12 and parts of the final arc)
Rave

still one of the best shonens I have read.
Same with FMA
I have very few mangas I read weekly/biweekly/monthly/whenever they're out:
- OP, mostly because I also hang out on the forum and it's fun to talk to other fans
- FT 100 YQ - but I can't wait for it to end, it is not good at all imo
- Sakamoto Days - also seems to be ending, and I wish it does soon, the main villain is so lame that Dr.Stone one seems like a superb one
- Black Clover - almost ended
- Dead Rock - actually interesting, but I often forget about it as it's monthly
- Daemons of the Shadow Realm - it is also monthly, and I often skip a few months, I like it, but the release schedule makes the wait agonizing
- Chainsaw man - wish I didn't pick up part 2, hopefully it ends next week and I can be free of this disappointment (but I am still invested enough to see it end and then dump)
- Spy x Family - I really enjoy this one, but it's bi-weekly and the chapters are very short
- WITCHRIV - we're kinda spoiled with this one, it's weekly but gets long chapters, and I really enjoy it so far
- Dandadan - I loved it initially, really cool world building and character are such lovable dorks, but I don't like the current arc. And yes, it was better before it hit 200 chapters, lol.
Oh a lot of I am reading too ^^
- OP because yeah I read/watch it since my childhood days and to write about it with others can be fun sometimes^^
- FT 100YQ is imo not so bad, imo most shonens are the same. But the difference for me is that in FT you can see other characters and the enemies especially the servants are good. Something I miss in most other shonens like OP. Thats one of the things I really like about FT and FT100YQ even if some fights and arcs are boring, etc.
- Sakamoto Day I read the manga but I am not up to date because it starts to boring me :/
- Black Clover same reasons, I think only 3-4 chapters are left right?
- Dead Rock, like it too but imo it should be a weekly manga. But I think Mashima doesn't have the time for that because he works on his new manga.
-Daemons of the Shadow Realm is that the new manga of the FMA author?
- Spy x Family it's really enjoyable and Anya is a funny character
- WITCHRIV yes, I agree, one of the best of the new ones
- Dandadan I watched the anime, but didn't have the time to read the manga, but it's on my list
Here is my list
The same you named plus
- Kinatos Magic: remembers me of Fairy Tail
- Shinobi Undercover: A funny manga with a really cool and good artstyle
- The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dgnity: One of the best romance stories I have read so far
- Dealing with the Mikadono Sisters: A funny romance story
- Gachiakuta: I really enjoy the manga but the chapters are often really short
- Make the Exorcists Fall in Love: a monthly manga which is really good written.
- Toilet-bound Hanako-Kun: A shonen I also really like. Good story, characters and art style. Sadly the manga is on hiatus currently.
- 4KoA: the sequel to The Seven Deadly Sins
kinda like Versus, but it's monthly and has too many characters to follow it monthly. Decided to let it marinate.
I also plan to re-read G.Gray-Man once it ends. I really struggled in following it after the hiatus ended, because of the art change, and I forgot some of the story...
Never read versus. But I think the anime is or was in hype?
D.Gray-Man is one of the mangas I still read and follow. I really like the story and the characters. But it's hard to wait always 3-4 months for a new chapter
I think you must wait a long time until the manga will end.
And there's HxH and Vagabond, but both are hiatus/probably never to be finished, so idk if I should put them as "reading".
I like HxH but I dropped it. Because of the many and long hiatus.... :(
You're saying Hitman Reborn is good? I couldn't get past first couple of chapters, so I dropped it.
Yes, the problem with the manga is, that at the beginning the manga was planned to be only a comedy shonen. But later they changed it into a battle shonen. So the "real manga" starts after first 50-60 chapters I believe.
You can try the anime, they make it with the anime better, there you have "only" 19 or 20 episodes. With the second arc after the first 19 or 20 episodes starts the "real anime".
Back during the time when I watched it the first time I was surprised how they changed it after the first arc and I was glad that I watched it until the second arc.
