Pre TS Luffy tried to attack Mihawk immediately after the fight ended. He just waited and forced others to wait until Mihawk finished Zoro off.

Pretty much ... Zoro has said it before himself, this is also a mentality that they both have, they won't interfere no matter what. Simialrily with Lucci vs Luffy, sure the crew could have jumped Lucci and be on there way but Zoro told them all to not interfere and let Luffy handle it.

none of these scenarios had any character almost dying. and luffys statement in the first picture was fluffy stopping buggy from interfering which is normal.
