Long Ring Long Island - Luffy completely defeated by Aokiji forcing him to realise he weaksauce
Sabaody archipelago - The entire SH crew was needed to be saved from Kizaru by Rayleigh and Kuma
Marineford - Ace was killed by Akainu and Luffy's will got broken for awhile

Those arcs are the only exemple of Luffy the Pirate Jesus leaving an island with L meanwhile any other time even when the enemy defeat him and
/or left him to die Luffy always supressed them and left with a W!

Luffy left WCI was a winner because he stole BM's Red Poneglyph and got Sanji back(although Pedro died, so it was a loss for him). But he lost to Katakuri and ran away from BM.

At Wano he is losing too, and many times over and over again.
