Because the Admirals are soldiers in the service of the Government. They are dispatched on missions that will take them to various locations, so they are more likely to come across the Straw Hats who are still relatively green. Meanwhile, the Yonko primarily reside in the New World, and due to their deadlock, rarely have the opportunity to venture far outside of it. It's up to the Straw Hats to come to them, but by the time they do, they are ready for them, unlike the Admirals who caught the crew wholefully unprepared.

The only real reason to claim that yonkeks > chadmirals is thematics. Feats wise chadmirals easily outclass any yonkek besides whitebeard and shanks, who they are about on par with.

If you're up to date with OP its pretty obvious the Oda does not give a fuck about the themes of his own story anymore.
It's nice to believe that freedom, willpower, ambition, and self-determination make you strong in OPverse, but really it's just fruits, haki, and ancestry.

People down play the admirals and honestly I think people who believe that yonko are an actually a tier above Admirals are morons. Even if yonkos are stronger it is by a thin margin. That is why GARP clearly stated, that if yonkos and admirals go at it, they will destroy each other. Look at what two admirals did to a whole island. Neither fighters came out unscathed. The warlords were there only to balance off the power of the YC because it takes one admiral to counter 1 yonko.

In this regard the yonko will have an edge if they actually joined forces because the majority of the vast VA seems to YC4 at best and ones like smoker are clearly weak. So if a VA and a warlord teams up then can easily take down YC. Multiple VA teaming up will be a problem for any YC. The marines already control the entire One piece world so the marines by default have a larger army than the 4 yonkos combine. Which explains Garp comment after water 7 arc but people completely disregarded it when the yonko hype started. No one wants to fight a war when victory is not certain so yes marines will freak out if the yonkos join forces because they cannot take them out without getting wrecked and the same goes for yonko; hence the balance of power.

Yonkos get more attention than admirals because it is a pirate manga. The focus on this series is primarily between pirates fighting for One Piece. This however does not make yonkos stronger than admirals by default.

The outcome would have been the seem if Luffy ran into a yonko at those times. The admirals are there to wreck him because their army is sooo massive that marines are ultimately the opponent Luffy must overcome. Each yonko Luffy conquers is building up his army to challenge theirs.

Pre TS Luffy and the crew were weak af. Not fair to compare that Luffy to this current one who's about to woop that drunken and depressed Kaido. After Wano, theres no Admiral except Akainu who can go toe to toe with Luffy. Can't say anymore cause the 1043 chapter isnt out yet.

Can't wait for the Final War to kick in. Many folks gonna regret it when stronger versions of Zoro and Luffy will fight the admirals and not easily overcome them.

Nope. Luffy is lying just like when he said he would win 1v1 against Kaido. Twice.
And Katakuri never said Luffy won.
But yeah the whole world think he did.
