I think Oda is moving on to give Luffy the yonka status and then making Zoro, Sanji and Jinbei Yamato as his 3 commanders

G5 is just that strong and Zoro will not close the gap but the gap will widen once Luffy has full control over it.

People say this at the end of every arc. People said “Luffys far ahead of the Monster Trio cause of G4” post Dressrosa, then future sight post WCI, and now “Yonko” status post Wano.

But looking at Luffys Egghead showings, Zoro can still push him to mid diff at least. Likely high diff imo.

Holding off 2 top tiers Saturn and Kizaru far exceeds what Zoro did to Lucci imho.

Gear 5 is just that strong and makes what Luffy showed earlier bar advance CoC pales in comparison.

Yes there was. When Luffy temporary knock out Kizaru with Star gun in chapter 1094. And then through 1108 G5 luffy was fighting kizaru and Saturn.
Sure Kizaru gave up fighting after he killed Punk but luffy still hold them back from causing more chaos.
