Zoro has the wierdest WSS journey


Was it the same for mihawk ? Because it's laughable.


- cats: they got claws , as some equivalent of swords

- a guy that uses baseball bats and muscular lady. No swords here.

- mr1: we works because he may not have swords but his entire body is like a sword

- giraffe with swords. no hater but giraffe that has a body like a shield is wierd WSS match

- ryuuma. Clear winner match with former, likely WSS from many years ago that also won Zoro a black blade.

But wierdest part is he gave up his first and only black blade, won fair and square, just like that.

- a guy that did occasionally used a sword but he was a rock golem. Barely qualify as a sword duel if I'm generous when guy was spamming rock golems 99% of the time



- pteranodon. Again, he said it himself he is not a swordman. He is a dino with wings and peak that look like swords but clearly are not swords.

- a duel with cat again, bigger then the pre ts cats, leopard Lucci. He got claws,.but no sword duel yet again.

- Super Sommers

A guy that has spikes, invisible spikes boosted by magic or whatever these guys are using.

Again not a real sword duel.

He is known as "knife of WG" so he is most blade like title of WG,.but still wierd.

Oda didnt plan it out well, I think almost everyone can see that and titles are meaningless hype machine that Oda uses.

To this day we still don't know how Hawkeye got his title. No confirm victories over Shanks nor the whereabouts of the previous WSS.

You could work that into wano being isolated and its sword style too (remember those LMAO) of wano being unknown, another reason i thought he would visit a dojo and learn wano techniques when i was reading. Instead, he yoinked that fire cutting technique from Kinemon in wano and used it there

He never cut a fire in elbaf despite being the fire.exe arc

It is weird for sure, these days I just view these as obstacles for Zoro to test his sword skills against various challenges, its not lost on me that he barely fights proper swordsmen but he will get a couple of elite swordsmen on his resume before this is over. Nusjuro and Fuji may have strong super natural powers but they seem to be legit swordsmen first both supreme grade users too, Mihawk being purest swordmaster of them all. Idk why Oda does this but it is what it is atp.

Maybe that's because Zoro wants to be stronger than everyone, not just swordsmen.
And when you beat the strongest, does it matter who else you beat?
