I would suggest by the end of his fight with Shiryu which will presumably come into existence earlier then we will finally likely witness a Zoro that has surpassed Mihawk. I would love if he surpassed Mihawk whilst they were actually clashing however, that would prove the epitome of grandiosity.

Unless there's a massive plot twist ahead, I still think Zoro vs Mihawk happens after the Final War, tbh.

I feel uncomfortable with the prospect of a Zoro vs Mihawk rematch when Zoro's nameless attacks cannot slice off mountains and tsunamis yet.

Hawkeyes is currently the world's strongest swordsman, but that doesn't make him the strongest swordsman of all time. Mihawk admitted he wasn't as strong as whitebeard, which proves that Roger>Mihawk no matter how biased you might be. Since Roger was a swordsman, he was likely the strongest swordsman of all time, and thus the one Zoro will ultimately be compared to instead of Mihawk in terms of strength. It could also be Ryuma, but the point still stands that Zoro will have to surpass opponents stronger than Mihawk.

I think people tend to overestimate Mihawk because they see him as Zoro's endgame power level, but I think he is not much stronger than current Zoro, or at least end of Wano Zoro. If Zoro can hold his own against Kaido, who is comparable to oldbeard at least, who Hawkeyes admitted is stronger than him, then he can 100% hold is own against Hawkeyes. Even if he only fights King, I think Hawkeyes is more or less the next level up.

So my prediction is that Zoro's next big fight will be Hawkeyes, but he will continue to grow stronger in order to surpass Roger and Ryuma afterwards. Thoughts?

Zoro's still got a decent path to the World's Strongest Man. A Holy Knight, Shiryu and any other arc opponents. Mihawk's too strong for current Zoro but it would be a visually appealing fight even if they faced now since Mihawk would show something cool.

Good lord, the Zoro wank during Wano was on another level. Even current Zoro, who's a lot stronger than End of Wano Zoro (and on another dimensional plane compared to pre-ACoC Zoro which is when this thread was made) can barely push Mihawk to mid diff.

Zoro will reach Mihawk territory by the end of Elbaf though, after he gets a big PU this arc. Still weaker but he'll definitely be able to give Mihawk a tough fight

Yea no lol. As long as Shiryu is there, Zoro will not 1v1 beat an established Top Tier. Oda could turn Shiryu into one though. I doubt it after Hachinosu but who knows.
